This is the first time I can recall where a Husker HC seemed to make a move that was 100% about trying to win games.

I can't think of any coordinators we've had who have previously been a power conference HC.

I wonder if this is one of those strategies where rather than fire the person you want out, you publicly demote them, hoping they will resign in humiliation and save you some of that firing money. 

I think Rhule is genuinely a nice guy, but sometimes these face saving maneuvers are worse than just pulling the bandage off.

Less duties and a contract for 1.4 mil?  I'm going to eat crap and grin while i do it until they change said contract.  Hell, Foley makes a killing and he has done absolutely zero and is gladly being crapped on every game day with a huge smile on his face while taking a look at his bank account.

Saw a post from someone who said that over their respective OC/HC careers, Holgorsen has averaged 10 PPG more than Satterfield.

If you could add 10 PPG to our scores from last year, we would've been 10-2, and this year we'd be at 8-1. Because math.

If we fire Satt today, he still collects a check for a while.  Since there is not a limit on coaches, who cares.

Seems like people stopped listening to him and didn't have faith in him anyway.  He is not only ineffective as a OC, but probably harmless as a TE coach.

Rhule has made questionable personnel decisions and spending the tax payer dollars with little to show for it.  We're seeing what Carolina saw and what Trev probably saw before he bolted.

Scheme doesn't really need to change, just the playcalling.  The hardest part of being an OC is calling plays.  All these guys know how to scheme and where to attack the defense.

Honestly, how much of a difference can changing OC make right now?  Lets be completely forward thinking.........the players know certain plays, schemes, etc........what real difference can be made right now?  Panic move if you ask me.........which smart players will see thru.  I am guessing this is a Dylan move, and only a Dylan move.  Something has been said and now we are saving face some to hold onto a only 5 star qb recruit in school history........tell me I am wrong!
