USC game. What did we learn

The hilarious thing about starting Ricky Haarberg is that it would pretty much ensure causing Raiola to transfer.

Nobody saw this kind of commentary coming at this juncture prior to the season started, absolutely nobody. LOL.

"Start the guy almost everybody hated last year."

If we are not making player moves to keep a QB who is 5-5 and more INT's than TD's, I don't care at this point tbh.  Rhule saw fit to bring in Doogie Howser to coach his receivers.  HH throws "well enough". He runs better than our backs.  Try something, because whatever we are doing isn't working.  We do not go bowling (don't think we will) and it wouldn't surprise me for DR to shop the portal.  Depending on what staff comes back next year, unsure how much improvement we make.  TE's stink, RB stink, WR's stink, OL stink.....Which group has improved?  I'm just tired of the same s#!t since Bo was fired.

Was at a wedding and saw only little bit of the game. I didn’t think we were beating USC at their place so not surprised.  Did Holgerson give the offense any juice?  Sounds like same s#!t, different Saturday.  I guess I am resigned to just let the season play out and see what happens over the next 2 games.

Yeah and I'm not attacking you at all, lo. Sorry if it came across that way.

I'm just saying, this is how screwed we are, calling for Heinrich Haarberg to save the season.

All good. I appreciate it. Didn’t think that. Apologies if it did. Im with you. I’m just ticked.  We are now almost a no dimensional offense.  No effective passing game. No effective running game. I’m a run the ball guy. Would prefer to lose slugging it out on the ground with HH and EJ and maybe a FB (Bonner) to try and open up some type of run game to let HH try to throw the same poor passing game. We have completely imploded.  Maybe another week of practice and film Holgo can figure something out. Whites going to need to let every position on D be open.

We didn't play like a team that was a 9.5 underdog on the road.  No 4th down attempts and no trick plays.  They threw up some 50-50 balls that worked.  We didn't as I would not call Dylan's horrible 1st pick as a 50-50 ball.  We beat Colorado because we took chances that worked.

Raiola hasn't won a game for Nebraska

Raiola has played a key role in Nebraska losing games.

Fidone should medically retire

The benefit of having a workhorse RB makes the game difficult on a defense
Get some better perspective.  He's a true freshmen quarterback playing college ball.

Matt Rhule is a loser. Everyone involved with the program right now is a loser. Every player is a loser. They lose. They fail. It’s what they are.
Drink it off.

Our plays from the old Osborne/Solich Nebraska playbook still work...for the other team.

USC gashed Nebraska with the counter play, and Riley called very well timed option plays.

Matt Rhule is officially on the hot seat.

  • You can't be sitting at 5 wins each season with multiple chances to get to a bowl game and not make a bowl game.
  • His game/clock management is baffleing.
  • He is now 0-6 in November.

Coach Rhule  has two chances left this season to get Nebraska to a bowl game this year, but he is officially on the hot seat.

The last time Nebraska won its 6th game of a season was October 15th 2016! (Credit to Dirk Chatelain for this info.)
Maybe give more credit to former HC Mike Riley.  He did it twice in three years.  Yall ran him off for Frost.

I thinks it hilarious how many people laugh and troll posts that call Rhule a loser. He is a perennial loser. Look at his record against top 25 teams and his Mike Riley season at Baylor where they didn’t beat anyone with a pulse. Don’t let the Used Car Salesman antics get to you.
Good grief man.

Huskers lost on the road to a team favored by 7+ points.  Perhaps find a hobby to relieve you pain, and your hate for Rhule.

Riley got a one of his bowl games with a losing season thanks to Pelini's GPA and he started off with a 7-0 season in his best season only to finish with 9 wins.  Then, Riley sucked again his last season.  The better choice was to keep Pelini than to hire Riley.

The defense will probably be worse next year, so I am not sure the prospects for 2025 will be much better.  The younger defenders are sitting behind losers right now.

I am ready for HH or Kaelin to take some serious snaps.  Maybe I am the only one but I feel like Raiola misses s#!t on purpose and can not figure out why unless he has an agenda.
He does seem soft. And slow footed.  Indecisive.  Throws floaters - even with screen passes.

It's almost liike he never been hit in his life and had to fight back.  Or taken the garbage out in the rain.  Or use a hammer, or drill.  Or do pushups.

But he does look like #15 Patrick Mahomes with his hair cut and uniform on though.

I don't think Dylan is sabotaging on purpose.  He just sucks right now.  He won't run and he makes some pretty stupid mistakes in the passing game.  Because of his dumb mistakes, it makes him hesitant to pull the trigger quickly on some plays that are wide open. He is Adrian Martinez 2.0 right now, except Adrian was a better runner.

We literally have 32 defensive backs on the roster, but apparently....
......we keep playing a 5'7" DB who wears #7 and should be playing FCS against similar sized players.  So he can have a chance to be effective.

That way, he doesn't get beat in routine coverage 4-8 times a game in big boy games.

By the way, #2 has done nothing on defense this year.  No matter how bad-a$$ he acted and spoke during the off-season and by returning for his 5th or 6th year.

It's like the Blackshirts are playing 9 against 11 ever play.  s#!t get's old, seriously.   <_<

Bigger picture we did DR, and this program, a disservice by expecting a true freshman to come in here and save the program in year 1.  We’re now 22 games into the Matt Rhule era and I still feel like we’ve yet to see a whole game where we were deliberately trying to establish the run game early and throughout the game

i sincerely hope we abolish the single digit jersey BS for next year. I’m sick and tired of off-season hype s#!t trying to dress up a pig.  Come back at me with tradition of excellence puff pieces when we actually win 10 games again- just another attempt at bestowing “earned recognition” for a team that has only achieved embarrassment for close to a decade now

Indiana, Colorado, Missouri Iowa State just to name 4 schools that have turned the corner and are big winners after years of mediocrity. Nebraska’s return on investment has to be the lowest in the nation
Arizona State was 3-9 last season.  The Sun Devils are now 8-2 with a 34-year old first time head coach.  I watched UNLV's offense tonight and that's what I would like Nebraska's offense to become.  They believe in the run game to set up the pass.  Hajj-Malik Williams is better than anyone on the Nebraska QB roster.

We will not be a good team again until we figure out how to run the ball with consistent success

we will not figure this out with the current OL coach

we most likely will lose our 5 star qb if we make the change we need to
