Iowa - What Did We Learn?

Foley needs to be fired. The difference was a missed FG cause of another bad snap and a bad punt return which led to a FG by Iowa. We knew the special teams would be the difference.
Even with poor special teams, we dropped some passes & pass blocking was not good most of the day.  We need some asst. Coaching changes & better talent at skill positions!

We stopped learning after the Indiana game.

we suck

we have no winning culture

we have no killer instinct

we have no special teams

Rhule is overrated and an average coach at best and his record shows that

next year will be the same because Rhule will not magically become a good coach.
Star rating for players is BS. A 2-star player can outperform a 5-star player with the right coach. Unfortunately, our coaches are all talk no substance.

Ferentz made Rhule his “you know what” again

I can't give reactions, I've used them all up.  So I will simply say, well said.  Hell yea.  This team needs a Prime makeover.  Dana....You fooled me.  But tonite, thanks.  I'm definitely now a fan of the scheme.  Like OC's before you, you went away from what was working and didn't make Iowa stop us.  Iowa continued to feed Johnson who finally broke the will of the D and stole their Sole in his TD run.  BECAUSE THAT"s THEIR IDENTITY.  They never went away from it....

Foely shouldn't even be here to make a call that cost the game...
Can we please stop saying this.  Iowa did not break that swing pass because it was their ‘identity’. It was essentially broken play. It sucked and it’s the defenses fault, but it was flukey when three of our guys tackled each other. You think Iowa fans were just smiling smugly as they were getting smashed for 98% of the game…saying ‘yup, this is the way. This is our identity’.?

We had it. We lost it. Almost a statistical anomaly given the numbers.

Dylan has to be more confident in his play. He seems like he is second guessing himself at every turn.

He has the tools. He needs to be his own person. Don't try to be Mahomes or whoever, just be Dylan Raiola. That's what we want.

Rhule, like Mike Riley, is a career .500 coach at the collegiate level and well under .500 in the NFL.  He is an average coach at best and we are likely stuck with him another year.  He hired all the assistants that have gone 11-13 in the first 2 regular seasons. Nobody forced him to have Mcguire, Raiola, Foley and others on this staff. He made those decisions.

I would just like the team to win this game every once in a while.
I’m just livid. You have that game and they made one TD play which we should have tackled and then basically handled them the ball to kick their two FGs. That’s the whole Fn game!  Our offense, Raiola, Dana couldn’t do anything else and so they hit the parlay with 3 stupid plays from us!  Ball game, absolutely inexcusable.

You know who is not a .500 coach....Jamey Chadwell...

I would have liked to see Haarberg on the field a lot more tonight. If Raiola knew that mistakes = bench, he’d probably play a lot better.

I suspect part of his deal when coming to Nebraska was that he’d start every game and would decide himself whether to come out or not. During the press conference after the UCLA game he said something weird like “I decided to go back in.” Since when would that be a player decision? Nebraska probably sold out to get him here, I hope this isn’t a Martinez 2.0 situation.
Why? Every time HH came on the field it completely stalled the momentum we had.  It’s a dumb gimmick that’s been snuffed out and outside of the run against Wisconsin it’s netted us next to nothing
