Nebraska captains refuse to shake Iowa captains’ hands?

I know we’re all tired of rehashing  the actual game, but is this about to be 20 pages of what the 19 yr old players should do?  They’re on the field, we aren’t.  They’re the ones that are in this rivalry and they chose to not shake hands.  Good enough for me.  The same idiots on this board calling 20 yr old kids ‘born losers’ are chiming in about class.  Hilarious stuff. They took no cheap shots during the game, they walked off the field after a gut punch of a loss as I’m sure Iowa was celebrating right in their face…like they always do.   
This is a thing cause we lost and probably because 2 plays didn’t fill up the ‘highlight reel’ for their win, they decided to show it because it was more exciting than anything their team did on the field all day.

So looking at this, why the hell were 3/4 of these guys even captains?  Usually your best players are captains and/or guys of high character.

It's really representative of the lack of discipline in this team culture which Rhule has no idea how to improve. This staff is getting paid a lot of money to right the ship and we are moving sideways at best.  There is nothing cool or tough about bad sportsmanship, especially with the team going 11-13 the past 2 seasons.

And you clearly know who the high character guys are?  You don’t think Ty Robinson, Benhart, banks, butler, singleton, Emmett Johnson are our best players at their respective positions?

Looking across the internet, 80% of our fanbase is calling this out as crap, I’m glad.  
 

We need a Kirk Gibson/Tim Tebow type to chew this s#!t out of our culture. Where are the leaders on this team?  It’s deafening.  Rhule, talk is cheap…time to act.

Somebody cue the Kobe Bryant “soft” GIF.  
 

All the good momentum from the Wisconsin win, and we just s#!t the bed.  Get it together and play your best football.  Nope we gotta be worried about where we pray (why isn’t that a locker room or goalpost/end zone thing).  The fact that you have to pray at midfield on the other team’s logo tells me it’s not about prayer or team.  Then to take that prayer and act like fools not shaking hands is chef’s kiss for how stupid this thinking is.

The fact that we are playing mental games and not focused on football is beyond stupid. Iowa got in our head and won the football game.

During Rhule’s pregame interview,  you can see Emmett Johnson (I believe) talking to the guy next to him. I'm going to assume it was talked about then. What they pulled goes against everything Rhule has preached publicity.

Its bc Nebraska football players and fans are happy with a 6-6 record.  Look what happened when we beat Wisconsin fans rushed the field like we just won a National Championship or something and the team celebrated like it did.  6-6 should not be acceptable for any Husker Fan out there plain and simply.

Yep, but I guess since a few rando posters made some dumb posts about the players being losers, the rest of the crowd here isn’t supposed to say anything about the players acting childish for not shaking hands.    
 

Im sure most of those players would love to play in the NFL someday.  Maybe they should watch the coin toss in those “rivalry” games.

I don't really care what random posters say.  These players are getting scholarship money to represent UNL and some are also getting NIL money. They need to do better...no excuses.
