Nebraska captains refuse to shake Iowa captains’ hands?

The USC game was a mutual non-shake after the all the pregame crap that went on.  There was continued s#!t talking both ways during that coin toss.

I have no problem not shaking hands.  It's old school football rivalry weekend.  Honestly, it's no big deal.  However, it did appear to work because Iowa couldn't run or pass.  We were up in yardage at one point 260 - 51.  So yeah, maybe the "no hand shaking" got in Iowa's head.

But if anyone didn't like it, that's okay too.  No worries.  At the end of the day, it's still just a game, with players getting paid to play college football.  :)

I could run out of +1s on this.  I’m so tired of all the noise.

-chasing 3

-championship mindset

-making fun of shadeur in the locker room after the game (which I called out and got trashed for)

-where to pray

-wanna be Mahomes

-shaking hands

There’s so much nonsense.

Go play football.  Win the game.  Stop looking like a bunch of tools.  At like you belong.  Which we clearly don’t belong right now.

100% agree. I didn't think the culture could get worst after Frost but we seem to be heading that way.

Way too much attention being paid to this! I coached for over a qtr of a century and prided my program on CLASS. I have countless cards from opposing teams, fans, and refs about running one of the most classy programs, something that I am proud of…… but, this nonsense has nothing to do with sportsmanship or class. It has everything to do with GAMESMANSHIP! Completely different. It is a mindset that was chosen, whether you like it or not. Iowa took action to completely disrupt our pregame, trying to disrupt our mindset…. We chose to respond with no handshake… showing no intimidation and disrupt their mindset. This is getting more attention than fights, trash talk at midfield, planting flags, etc…. After the game last yr, Iowa players, rather than shaking hands, chose to wave and laugh at our guys, mocking us for not going to a bowl. Not much said about that act, so why so much attention here?

Welp I’m seeing it from who I know and fans who care to post on message boards. Now maybe others are trolling us (likely) and clicking a poll because we are such an easy punching bag.  This isn’t going away until Rhule addresses it.  Choose wisely, Matt.

I wish we could have beat Iowa so we could have planted our flag on the Hawkeye logo at midfield.

Awesome brawl at the end of the MU/OSU game for the national media to forget about a dumb handshake snub
Eh no one in the national media actually cared about the handshake ordeal.
