The Democrat Utopia

"The modern definition of gaslighting is a psychological manipulation technique in which a person tries to convince someone that their reality is untrue."

Huh, sounds exactly like a certain poster here!! Funny I thought I didn't know what this meant but I guess I did.

You want me to freak out like the world is ending as most other posters are doing?   Only to eventually find out we are all fine?????

The Trump administration is attempting things you once declared liberal hysteria. Based, as I recall, on your faith in the safeguards of Democracy. Those safeguards are now directly under attack. As scheduled by Project 2025. Which you dismissed as not being a real thing.

Gotta admit they've had a successful three week run. By their own assessment. For some of us, it's been pretty mind-blowing, having lived in America all these years.

If we eventually find out we are all fine, it's because enough people quit rationalizing the autocratic power grab and took action.

How long are you willing to wait to see if Trump is really going to do all the things he has every intention of doing?  What's the appropriate time frame for an apology?

No, you just have a preconceived narrative causing you to assume this because you gloss over or don’t read the actual wording of my posts.

I do support MUCH of what they are trying to accomplish however.  The spending pendulum needs to swing the other way for a bit and then maybe we will settle somewhere in the middle down the road.
Everyone knows you support MUCH of what they are trying to accomplish.  And....I've expressed that I'm fine with it.  But....that's not what we are talking about here.

We are talking about the process for which they are doing it.  I have expressed concern about it.  You have expressed very little to no concern about it.

You want me to freak out like the world is ending as most other posters are doing?   Only to eventually find out we are all fine?????    I post my thoughts and opinions like everyone else.   I just try and choose to not make it personal like many here.
So, you ARE fine with Elon shutting down complete departments of the US government just because he thinks they are wasting some money.

And....here's part of your gaslighting.  Just because someone is expressing concern about how it's being done doesn't mean they are "FREAKING OUT".  We can discuss these things without acting like someone is being hysterical over what is happening.

i will wait and see who that is aimed at.   it is probably aimed at the"libtards".   would be nice if actual checks and balances actually started happening but call me skeptical
It seems like Justice Roberts is a little late to the party and is only now concerned about the constitutional crisis that is unfolding.  Who's going to enforce any court ruling that the party in power disagrees with?  That's the rub.  When it's proven "nobody" then the current regime will have carte blanche to carry out any of their weird, Christo-fascist fantasies.

Here's a link to his annual report, if anyone cares about his comments on the subject.

Sorry you lost me.  What he's saying, and what has held our republic together for over two centuries is that people upheld their oaths to the Constitution.  It's always been assumed that that would hold.  When it comes down to it, do you see any of Trump's appointees enforcing the law should Trump choose to ignore a court ruling?  Roberts' year end report just seems like academic theory at this point.

There is no way in hell anyone with an R beside their names is going to do anything to hold dear leader and Musk accountable for their actions. That's the funny part.

He put this out there trying to act all noble and respectable to the constitution....meanwhile.......
