Media Bias

It’s good to know what your standard for media bias is.

138 Judges did in fact file the Amicus Brief asking for charges to be dropped against Dugan. CBS News, among many others, reported this factual occurrence. I could not discern from their report if the news agency agreed with those judges or their assertion that Dugan should be freed.

But….Media Bias, somehow?

All I got out of this is that another bunch of judges seem to feel they shouldn’t be held accountable to the same laws as the rest of us. Just like Clarence Thomas. Just like Trump.

The only bias I see is how you choose to selectively ignore or get all riled up based on the letter behind names or the politically driven narrative of the issue.
“Riled up” LOL.

by your words, we should all assume every time you post something here, you are “riled up”??

Comparatively, you have posted more about the Dugan situation than anyone else here. And, since you seem to feel CBS reporting that 130 judges filed a brief in her favor constitutes media bias, well, what are we supposed to think.

I apologize if it’s just a weird fixation rather than you actually being “riled up”.

i interpret it as 130 judges thinking the administration is not following the law.   something that i think the administration has confirmed with their continued flaunting of court orders

Ahhh, so when people post about Clarence then they are just riled up because they have posted about it more than I have and we can chalk it up to being a weird fixation.   Good to know🙄

Maybe I’m just riled up.
👍

This seems like an appropriate “media bias” piece.

Our Democrat governor Polis also called it an act of terror, just like Bongino and Patel did. It would seem act of terror is appropriate as the pro pally guy used a flamethrower on Israeli supporters. Kinda wish both sides would keep their s#!t in the Middle East where it belongs instead of here.

I’m curious if you have seen the video of judge Dugan helping that guy “avoid arrest”?

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel had a video compilation from all of the surveillance cameras that tracked his movements from the moment he left the courtroom. The video also has notations on all of the ICE agents that were in the courthouse. IMO, the agents did not seem interested in arresting him inside the courthouse at all. They had numerous opportunities and all they did was slowly trail him from a distance. He and his attorney were not running from them or even walking at a brisk pace. It looked to me like he had no idea anyone was after him until he got outside on the street. That is when he ran and they chased him. I would post a link but I only saw it one time and then I got paywall blocked by the Journal Sentinel.

From what I did see of it, that had to be the weakest effort ever of “aiding” an escape and the agents completely screwed the pooch by not apprehending him on numerous easy occasions within the courthouse. Honestly, it looked to me like they had no intention of attempting to arrest him in the courthouse or until his attorney was nowhere in his vicinity. The fact they made a big deal about this rogue liberal judge is a joke. They could have arrested him with ease if they really wanted to. Or maybe they were just completely inept. My gut tells me they didn’t want his attorney around while attempting to arrest him.

Anyway, you should look up that video compilation so you have a better idea of what actually transpired before you continue ragging on the judge who quite clearly did next to nothing to aid him avoiding arrest. I mean she may have told him to exit a different way than normal but it is totally on the agents for failing to easily get him in custody. This whole deal would be a complete non-issue if they were at all capable and/or not selectively waiting until his attorney wasn’t by his side.

No I haven’t.

As far as the rest of your post..:.I have one simple question.   Why did the Judge change her normal behavior of what would have taken place with that defendant had the defendant been a citizen and ICE wasn’t around?

What was the motivation to change her normal routine?

As for your simple questions…I have no idea what her motivation was or what would have happened without ICE there.

But those questions become pretty irrelevant once you see the surveillance footage. Whatever or why ever she did what she did provided absolutely no help to him escaping apprehension. If her intention was to help him escape, it was the weakest attempt ever and a complete failure.

If you’d rather keep acting like she actually did something that prevented him from being arrested then, by all means, do not look up that surveillance footage. I just thought you might prefer to see for yourself what actually transpired.

She didn’t have to actually do something that prevented the illegal, on trial for beating two people, from being arrested.  She’s accused of trying to prevent ICE from doing its job which is pretty evident based on her non normal routine for this defendant AFTER finding out ICE.  &nbsp

That’s okay. Your mind is made up and you don’t want any additional information that may conflict with how you want to feel about it. Personally, I wouldn’t hold such a strong opinion on something I was unwilling to learn more about but it is what it is I guess.

Yes, exactly. It is laughable.
Yes your post was.   I’m one of the people on here who reads links that people post as I routinely point out the nuance to the articles.  So yes, it’s laughable by you to try and say I don’t want additional information after I point out to you that succeeding in helping the illegal get away is different than attempting to help the illegal get away.   Though both are the same basic crime.   A crime that it seems the judge has committed absent any new information coming out.

What people are arguing now isn’t that she did what she did, but trying to argue helping someone try and evade capture is really no biggie and we should all just look away.   But then again, a few days ago you yourself said you either believe in law and order or you don’t (or something to that affect if it wasn’t the exact wording)
