Just a little story to pass the time until signing day and spring ball:
My wife and I were at Nebraska Furniture Mart (Omaha) today. While we were walking toward the TVs, I noticed a couple of familiar faces. Cody Green and Mike Ekeler were walking in the opposite direction.
They seemed to go largely unnoticed, but perhaps that's because a handful of nerds like myself were simply turning to their disinterested wives to explain the 'situation'. I didn't see Coach Ekeler buying him anything, so I can happily report that no NCAA violations were witnessed.
On a side note, I let Matt Shick go ahead of me to refill his drink at Pepperjax Grill during lunch. I wanted to confirm whether or not he was the infamous "Bill in Lincoln", but I didn't bug him.
It was kind of an odd morning....
