You become a booster by sending the program a check every year. Some checks are bigger than others. My checks will probably buy another gallon or two of Gatorade every year and basically qualify me for nothing in the way of fringe benefits. I'm barely a blip on the radar for tickets.
I'm a volleyball booster, too, and I go to the banquet every year, and I have the potential to go to other boosters-only events, but for now it's just the banquet.
I'm sure there are some boosters here who get more from their donations than we do, so maybe they'll come in and tell you what the perks are. Mostly my perks are a letter every other month asking me to be a bigger donor.
