    This staff is underpaid yet people think it would be unfair to pay athletes because they get a free education.

    I don't think it's an issue of being fair or not. Of course without the players the CFB cash cow would dry up for a lot of programs. But, I think the issue is if we're going to treat it like an amateur sport or if it's going to be a paid professional gig. I don't really care but we've already got the NFL (which I like much less than CFB) so I'd rather it stay amatuer student athletes. If a $45,000 per year education isn't good enough for the players then they can choose to do something else.

    Bama also plays an FCS team nearly every year.  Mercer this year.  Cattananooga last year.  Charleston Southern two years ago.  And so on.  So there's that.

    For any kids who commit and sign LOI's, they should be able to leave upon the coach being fired or leaving for another school. Not saying all players but any that have not participated in a practice or maybe within a grace period from signing day.  No reason a player should get the shaft by committing to one coach and style and then a week later find out that coach is gone.

    It might be best for the players to stick around and see who's next.  I mean, how many will play as true freshmen next fall and lose eligibility?  They'll be able to transfer next year if they want, so long as they don't play in game.  

    OTOH, Arizona sucks. Who can we steal?

    I'd think the school would still let them sign elsewhere if they chose to do that. Still have a month to look around

    There are 130 D1 football teams. About 70 of those teams have no chance at the CFB Playoff. 70....70!!! That's an issue

    Trent Bray is the most overrated assistant on this staff. Not worst, but most overrated. LB's are garbage the pat 3 years

    Bray being named interim won't mean much in the long run.  He's probably just being kept for the next 7-10 days as a point of contact for recruits.

    Trent Bray is younger and he can connect with the players well. He has been here three years and has a connection with Moos. This is why he is the interim, and he will be an interim for only a short amount of time.
