    Of the four, only Texas lost as a ranked team to an unranked team. That hurts.

    I would say another fanbase that is uneasy right now would be Penn St. Not a great Game 1. "Survive and Advance" would make any fan clinch a little tighter.

    09 struggled early in year so i say we still lpse to Oregon.  Then we still lose to Wiscy and tOSU.  So I guess 9

    In hindsight it's a tragedy Martinez didn't play that year.  When things got desperate at QB and Martinez was (reportedly) tearing it up on the scout team it's kind of amazing he never got a look.

    If this years offense had the 09 D I think we would have had 4 or 5 more wins.  NIU, Oregon, NW, Wisconsin and probably Minnesota.  Possibly Iowa as well.  Penn St and Ohio St would have been much closer.  That D would cause turnovers which would give the ball back to the offense.  Few teams would run willy nilly on us.
