    IMO that's a problem with football in general... too many penalties and too many opportunities for results to change based on those penalties.

    I still watch the hell out of the sport but I think it's a valid concern with the sport.

    The blind side block penalty in the Denver KC game last night was total BS.  Yes, it was a hard block.  But, the guy was in a position that he could have made a tackle if not blocked.  And, the blocker blocked came from the front and blocked him in the chest.

    Not sure how that's a blind side block.  That's the situation that's a problem with many of these penalties.

    I was watching the Raiders and Washington game and Crosby for the Raiders hit the QB right as he threw and tackled him to the ground.  They called a roughing the passer because he fell on the QB.  Complete BS.

    Southlake RB Owen Allen reminds me of Rex Burkhead. Tough runner that can make you miss and pick up yards.

    Tough crowd.  Star rankings can be taken with a grain of salt most years and this years rankings are probably more off than your typical year.

    I am sort of with you on this one, this looks like a really good MAC type class at the moment.  Either they suck at recruiting or Frost knows he has all the time in the world to get these guys ready as juniors and seniors.

    There is a function on your address bar with the two “A’s,” one is smaller font than the other. Tap that and It’ll have an option to request desktop or mobile. With that said, it still doesn’t prevent the pages from breaking

    He keeps having success like he is and he will be able to have any job he wants.  The guy can flat out coach.

    The big Oline players, Big fast WRs, Big fast LBs, the Best QBs in the South and West Coast are all getting paid.  The best talent and biggest body players don't just go anywhere.  The South pays the best (to the family).  It's not super rich money, but it is good enough money.  The S&C is available everywhere.

    My bad. Yes, we could afford any S&C guy we wanted and we could more than likely sign them for the correct amount. 
     

    I maybe don’t pay close enough attention but I’m not yet convinced Duval isn’t doing a pretty good job. He inherited marshmallows and it seems has made some decent  progress. I don’t feel like Iowa and some of the others pushed us around as much this year as in the past.

    I have voiced my opinion about Duval and think we can/could do better.  Our players are getting stronger but their flexibility and quickness aren't being worked on enough IMO.  We look way to stiff and slow out there, especially on the OL.

    Their players look way different than ours. They're either getting first pick on the playground and/or they're doing something more after they pick them. Same with Bama, Clemson, tOSU and a few others. There's a lot of teams we just can't compete with unless things drastically change.

    That’s literally everyone but the top 5-6 teams in the country lol. Don’t get me wrong though we are especially bad. But yes. The talent difference is drastic. I think it may even out more if the playoff goes to a 6 or 8 team system. Maybe.

    LOL.  Herbert has a better mastery of trick plays than McCaffrey, IMO.  But seriously, watching the speed the players from both teams play makes me think our players are going at about 80%.  I don't know if it's a lack of depth or something else but it seems like we play at a 800m pace instead of a sprint.

    You could argue that Martinez was better than Burrows last year (obviously that's changed significantly this year).

    It is amazing what solid coaching and play calling can do for a player.

    Also, I don't remember him really being open to transferring to Nebraska. I think Frost had a quote about it as well...something along the lines, "You think he is better than what we got?". I do know that Cincinnati was in play. 

    If Burrow doesn't get hurt at OSU and goes in the Michigan game instead of Haskins his sophomore year, I think Burrow would still be OSU's QB.  What a crazy sequence of events that has lead us to this point.

    We have ZERO players that would start for LSU or Bama.  Those guys are on a way different level.

    Also. I was telling my buddy today. Oregon recruits at a high level now and I don't think THEY are even close to elite level yet either.

    The top 4 teams are SO far ahead of everyone else.

    Yep...they have WRs and RBs that are bigger then our OLBs and can out run them like no other also.

    It is pretty discouraging watching what the athletes on most other teams can do. I mean Iowa friggin State (and many other non powerhouses) make our guys look inept. And don't get me started on kickers...wth happened to us that we can't even punt or kick?
