There's also the fact that the old SEC had most teams within 3 to 5 hours drive to Atlanta. Arkansas and LSU were the farthest at 10 to 11 I think.

Old Big 12, all the northern teams were a days drive away.

They probably should just have that in the SEC region somewhere. That seems to be the only area that competes in it or goes to watch the games.

I'm sure it was a long trip to take for most Husker fans.  No matter who played, it wasn't equal footing when they didn't rotate the location each year. That was jacked up.  

 
I really hate the idea of the B1G and SEC having a scheduling agreement.  This way the B1G and SEC just play each other, ignore the other conferences, then say those other conferences are weak because they didn't play anyone in the B1G or SEC.  This isn't basketball where there are enough games to have 'challenges' etc. happen, then other good out of conference games as well.

What I wonder is if it'll come at the expense of the non-playoff bowls. More money at the top, but will people still care enough about the toilet bowls for them to continue? Probably, but IDK.
