Agreed.Need to permanently go back to gray facemasks. I think it'd look great.
Also - Lose the stripes on the pants and the patch on the chest. I would love to see those exact uniforms modernized.
Another vote for these, with the red facemasks kept though.
Don't be surprised if these show up during the 2021 GOTC 50th anniversary Oklahoma game.... they really need to make that happen.
Back when the Colts still had blue facemasks, I thought they had the absolute perfect NFL uniform and I wanted Nebraska to basically be a red version of it.

I quickly took the pant stripes off because I think we look too much like Wiscy with them. I think this should be our every game uniform, I still think a gray facemask would look good too. I think the uniform would have been awesome if they had used our school colors.
I agree though, the numbers looked like they took duct tape and made them. Hideous.

I do think either the coaching staff or players should decide to make minor changes to the uniforms for 15' and beyond. I think the Indianapolis Colts style is sweet without the striped pants like the image above or even skinny stripes for the pants. It would be a mixture of the 70's and 90's uniforms and +1 for gray face masks. Such a classic look. Anything to make us NOT look like Wisconsin. They even wear the same style of socks as us I believe (thanks Adidas). I'd like the team to branch out more and not let Adidas dictate our style.
