***2018 Recruiting***

Mapieu comes off the board so we're at 19 commits plus two transfers.  Going to stick with Smith signing.  The limit would seem to be 23 but Frost says 24-27 so..... 

  • For sure one OL, maybe two with the higher number?: Bell -> Canty -> Robinson
  • One OLB: JJB
  • One RB: Washington -> Sargbah/Bryant?
  • One DB for sure, maybe two: Taylor a likely commit -> Montgomery
  • Tago a likely commit
  • We'd be open to adding another WR: Hunt -> Hall
  • Ogbonnia at DT probably a good bet now

Pretty darn clear picture and board at this point. Guess it comes down to numbers and now the stress of hit/miss National Signing Day.

Total points 234.08 and 19th ranked class (as long as no one passed us, next closest team, Tennessee, is at 225.04 at the moment with 17 commits.  I'm sure we won't get all of those players but even half of them would likely put us in the low twenties and I don't believe too many would have thought we would be that high considering the past season, the coaching change and only having two months to get a class together.  I for one would be ecstatic if we were to get JJB and Washington.
