** 2024 Opponent Preview : Colorado (Game 2) **

I completely agree, someone definitely knew about it. This was just the speculation from the local radio hosts, who have been big Deion supporters. They viewed this as the university being a bit concerned about the optics of the Saudi relationship, hence why they are trying to distance themselves from the former employee and what he's saying.
That's probably what it is.

This is Deion's last season.  And I don't think he's going to finish it.

If he goes 0-3 or 1-4 that's probably the end. That would be a run starting last year of 0-9 or 1-10. Although what complicates things for Colorado's leadership is his son is the QB, but if you're already 0-3 you might not care at that point.

I just compared our last year's results to theirs. We had a lot of close losses but all but one of our 5 wins was by more than 1 score. We beat Illinois by 8 points. Every other win was by more than 8.

With Colorado, they had 3 wins by 1 score or less, and 4 losses by 1 score or less. The point being, they had a higher potential to be even worse than they were.

CU doesn't have the money to fire Sanders unless they can do it for-cause and not have to pay. Performance of the football team is a distant consideration.

I recall saying the AD say they didn't even have the money to pay his contract when they hired him, and were going to fundraise.   Them not winning with this little experiment is a disaster for them monetarily.

CU was already in danger financially, so they had to try something risky. The Sanders hire sold out their season tickets last year, which might have been worth whatever happens next. But we'll see.

DENVER — The Colorado athletics department informed The Denver Post that head coach Deion Sanders and anyone else within the Buffs football program will no longer take questions from columnist Sean Keeler.
In a statement provided to The Post’s editors on Friday, department officials said the decision was due to what it perceived as “a series of sustained, personal attacks” in Keeler’s coverage of the football program.

When asked for specific examples of how Keeler personally attacked Sanders and the program, a sports information staffer cited his use of phrases such as “false prophet,” “Deposition Deion,” “Planet Prime,” “Bruce Lee of B.S.,” “the Deion Kool-Aid” and “circus.”

He's softer than a baby's behind.

They won't fire him.  It'll be a mutual agreement to split.  He has too much of an ego to continue.  He will say in the media the CU did him dirty, but it's what both sides will want.

But the wildcard is always "With Cause"

I know the peace of mind isn't there but just go get two from a scalper outside the stadium. Especially if you're willing to wait until after kickoff, you can essentially name your price as they will take something rather than nothing. I've never not been able to find tickets outside the stadium and have never paid more than face value for them.

Ok. Well its an 8 hour drive one way for us so kind of risky but that could work. Is it legit to buy tickets outside the stadium?

The husband (who is not a Nebraska fan) keeps saying it would be inappropriate for us to eat buffalo wings during the Colorado game. But he finally gave in and is making buffalo wings for me. I asked if he could throw some hearts in too.

This is not the first time an action like this has been taken against a journalist covering a team coached by Coach Prime.
In July of 2021, a reporter from the Jackson Clarion-Ledger was barred from reporting on the Jackson State football team at the Southwestern Athletic Conference Media Day — a day after that reporter wrote a story detailing a domestic violence charge against one of the team’s top recruits.

I love how they're still referring to him as 'Coach Prime'. Even after this bulls#!t, they're still willing to suck up to him...
