2024 Transfer Portal Ins/Outs

He has as many decommitments/portal entries (4) as he does career TD passes. There's no chance he would stick around, and he's not going to go anywhere with an established starter.
Yes, In his 3 posted starts he threw for 485 and 4 touchdowns..  and again, if he transferred because of the reasons stated, I don't blame him

You can't waste roster spots on guys who aren't going to play this year, and are likely to transfer out before playing in the future. I can understand dropping Florida for Miami when they promised him a ton of money, and I can understand bailing on Miami when they didn't follow through. But he's now transferred twice since then without that excuse.

And bottom line, he has zero reason to come here. He would be blocked by a younger and even more highly touted player at a position where only one guy plays. We have no reason to offer him the money I'm sure he's looking for, and he has no reason to accept it even if we did.

Yep.

I can understand Florida. But, then Miami promises him stuff and doesn't follow through.  At some point, there is a common denominator here.....and it's not one particular school.

It's been a long time, but I remember being pretty impressed with him during our game against UTEP early in the season. He demanded double teams and chips, but didn't have the supporting cast around him to impact the game. He was always around the ball and in the backfield during passes. Guy is strong enough and disciplined enough to set the edge on rushes but they also brought him from all over the field on passes.

Another option for Tackle, although (like the others) he is going to have other suitors. Our NIL would presumably be competitive, but the Oregon's of the world can point to CFP appearances and we have to make them believe it's possible.

Donate 6 figures to 1890, have him come be the back-up, and then leave before he even steps foot in Lincoln with your money!
