2025 Transfer Portal

There are so many teams that are going to be like that this year. True, most did lose their head coach but... new norm?!! And Baylor is still going to be good- Juslin Bodo Bodo transferred in from High Point, Michael Rataj from Oregon State, Agbim from Wyoming, the freshman Yessoufou... JJ White from UNO! CBB is nuts and it's like a full time job keeping up with all these roster changes...
Yep.

The 23/24 season shows what Hoiberg wants his system to be.  He made a mistake this year and went for positional size over shooting & skill because he thought they were beaten on the boards by "bigger" players.  He is now going back to the way he wants play based on the transfers he is bringing in.
You are seriously cherry picking his only and best season over 6 years to indicate what he wants "his system" to be?  How do you make sense of that?

His first 4 years of "not his system" won .325 % of the games (40-123).  That is so terrible it isn't funny.

This year Hoiberg's "not his system" finished 7-13 in the big ten - becoming one of 3 teams not to make the Big Ten tournament, and finished the regular season with 17-14 record (nice non-conference).  The crown tourney saved his a$$.  Because NU wasn't going to the NCAA playoffs or NIT.  And the Huskers played for money, not Hoiberg and "his system". But they did have a helluva good run in the Crown.  Much credit there.

If "his system" doesn't suck, I don't know what to tell you.  Especially with Brice gone now.

I'm basing his "system" on how Iowa State played for multiple years.  He's really only run it how he wants one time at Nebraska because every time he brought in three point shooters before, they didn't seem to be able to make shots in PBA.

I'm pretty sure his system from Iowa State was what he ran his first few years here.  After it failed miserably, he had to change tactics, fire his right-hand man and find a new way to do things.  That has led to more success.

I was thinking more the multiple shooters & five out with the offense running through a "big" like Royce White and a lot of ball movement.  It seems to me his first several years at Nebraska he tried to get shooters, but they didn't perform & he ended up with a lot of one on one plays because the ball movement wasn't there either.
