2026 Season Notes

I am not sure but only going off of what I was told. Was told we are forced to pull/reduce current scholarships and the monthly living stipend would no longer exist. We need better NIL funding for baseball.
Heck, maybe a former athlete can toss in $$ like Mahomes did for the Tech softball team.
all players were asked by staff to leave.

Sorry, this was on Cooper. If you didn’t sign in November, then you were not promised anything.  He chose to stay around waiting. I’m sure he was told that they were only signing Juco guys in November because of the possibility of the mandatory roster reduction.  They did say there was a likely hood that after the April 8th (House Settlement) there might be more spots open and then they could sign more freshman.  And I think only one freshman  has actually signed.

This is not daddy ball anymore. If you had half a brain and could check your ego, you could figure out mathematically what was going happen. These coaches have to put the best team out there. Their jobs depend on it. Very few will be taking freshman anymore. No time to develop.

Im tired of the whining by the 2025 class. I know for a fact no one lied to them, they chose to ride out.  Just plain delusional. Then they want to cry about it on social media.  See how that works for them
6 Freshman have signed.

How can they abandon support for baseball?  If they are an athlete on a roster, they get to revenue share. Didn’t every athlete on a roster get 20,000 this year?

And yeah, you are not going to get the monthly stipend and a revenue share check.  800/a month or 20,000 per year.  Which is a better deal?
33 of 40 Baseball players cut a check to play at Nebraska. every athlete 20K jesus christ LOL

All scholarships now are full or nothing.  Use to be most were in partial scholarships- I think it 11.7 full, split up to 27.5 players. The difference was made in the stipend and maybe academic scholarships, which is an incentive to keep instate kids
wrong again, you have s#!t running out of your mouth that isnt even close to correct all over this board, just stop talking.

There are no partial scholarships anymore. Show me where I’m wrong.
Bolt quote:

“I still think the majority of teams are going to be giving partial scholarships to at least part of their roster,” Nebraska coach Will Bolt said. “Reading the tea leaves, it doesn’t look like anyone is going to come up with 34 fulls.”

Too much title IX cost. I’m not sure if football will max it out either. SEC stated a few months they would  recommend 25 baseball and i don’t remember football, but it was not 105.

Maybe it  will change it from year to year. Can they revenue share, but not give scholarships?
