Ads inside of threads are too intrusive.

I can’t click out of it. It’s just a solid red box for me, not even a tiny x (prob due to my ad blocker, which I am not going to turn off for any reason)
The rather large banner box is still in the way. The buttons for notifications and messages are blocked by it. ???

If posters continue to use ad blockers this site is going to go away.

The programmers are having trouble replacing old code to implement the no ads option.

If they are not successful I am going to get rid of this Invision software and migrate to Xenforo.

Also going to consider banning posters that use ad blockers on the site. It's like asking a restaurant to cook your bacon and eggs for free. Not a sustainable model.

He answered me on it.

My AB is causing this specific issue. So I’ll just have to put up with it or disable my AB.
I don’t use an ad blocker and it’s an issue for me on mobile.  I have to click the x on the add in order to see notifications.   It hasn’t been that way for the most part in the past.

You have a bunch of people willing to directly send you money to avoid the minefield of ads. And all of us (I assume) understand it costs money to run a site like this. Nobody wants their eggs cooked for free. We just don’t want to be seated at the table next to three wailing babies. (Annoying ads analogy)

If the only option is to pay for the ability to continue using an ad blocker, how much and where do I send the money? I donated money to this board before you bought it and I can do it again. But I won’t disable my ad blocker. Not because I’m trying to screw you or get something for free but because it just isn’t worth being endlessly bombarded with BS I’m not interested in and won’t ever click thru to buy.

If the programmers aren't able to implement the ad free option I will migrate the site to Xenforo where I know I can add that option. Don't want the community to go away but it is not sustainable in it's current form. Did I mention that I hate the Invision BBS platform.

I don't have my Ad Blocker on for HuskerBoard, but this morning's ad intrusion is the worst I've seen on any website ever.

A complete screen takeover by a women's fashion accessories retailer name Machete. It has come up at least 20 times in the last 45 minutes, and four times in my attempt to compose this post. If you don't click exactly on the small x it sends you to the site and you lose whatever you were composing on HuskerBoard. If your finger grazes your mouse, it pops up. If you do nothing it pops up.

At the moment, HuskerBoard is virtually unusable because of it.

That should not be happening. I have reported it to the new agency I am trying out.
