Boxing

This looks like it should be competitive but it won’t be.  Sadly for Bud, fights like these will be the norm for a long time.  The true welterweight superfight, Crawford/Spence, probably doesn’t see the light during these fighters elite time(the next two years).  With Bud’s contract with Abrum and ESPN he could easily be an afterthought for the other top fighters in the class  who are signed with promoters who are tied to SHOWTIME.  Those guys will match up so much easier with each other due to this.  Add in the fact that Abrum burned some bridges with some of these promotion groups(I know Spence’s group is one with Al Haymon) won’t help matters.

Now add in the fact the Mikey Garcia, unified and undefeated stud at lightweight wants to fight Spence.  He’s gonna fight Richard Commey next, but I think this fight happens far before Crawford gets his shot at Spence.  The other odd twist that could effect this Spence/Crawford thing is Vasyl Lomachenko.  Loma will destroy his next match in December to unify his half of the lightweight world and he wants Garcia.  Garcia once was a Top Rank/ESPN guy.  A bitter release from them took two years, but odds are that this fight has a better(yet far fetched) chance of happening before Spence and Crawford have a go at it.

it is sad the politics that screw fans of seeing great fights.

And GGG still win the fight

This has been the case since the 90's. All the pay-per-view s#!t and the different governing bodies deciding who is, and who isn't worthy of a title shot has really screwed the sport, and the fans out of the best fights.

I was trying to post this vid without the timestamp.  Not sure if it worked, it keeps skipping to ~46 minutes on my device.  Good interview.

42 Power Shots landed in the 11th round.  Major props to Pedraza for getting up twice and surviving the 12th round.  Good first fight back after shoulder surgery for Loma.  Mikey Garcia is the only thing near his weight that would be an intriguing fight, and that is if Garcia isn’t destroyed in his match with Spence.

Bumping the thread for the big one tonight down in Jerry World

Spence and Garcia.  Man, what an interesting fight.  Garcia jumping up two divisions and is a unified unbeaten boss. Spence mowing anything down in front of him, with a frame that could easily move up two divisions from welterweight, also an unbeaten boss.

Garcia is such a great experienced fighter but don’t know how he’ll hold up against Spence’s size and power.  If it goes the distance I got Spence in a unanimous.

Interesting side bar.  Both guys say if they win, they want Pacqio.  Is Manny actually still that big of a feather to put in your cap nowadays?  Bud wants manny too, but seems to be realizing there are bigger fish to call out
