Children and immigration reform

Yep....and she didn't have a problem with raids that were happening obviously in LA before now.  Hmmmm....wonder what has changed
Because she’s a Democrat and Biden was a Democrat.  Now you know what changed.

she could have very easily said “we support ICE getting this criminal element out of our society and will help them do so.  We do not support ICE deporting people who are illegal but have lived here for years without incident”.     Not a hard statement to make.  For a normal centrist Dem mayor that wants illegals to have a chance to stay.

She and everyone else damn near. There is a reason the ICE agents hide their identity. Most people hate them and what they are doing.
See what I mean @BigRedBuster. More proof your statement was false

:laughpound

OK...why didn't these riots happen during Bush's era?

Again....you are showing your ignorance.
Who knows, but there were protests.  My guess is the radicalization of the Leftists the past 15 years is the problem.👍

Ignorance Is not understanding it’s bizarro world now where riots against deporting 118 criminal elements in LA are excused as a good thing.  Carry on I guess.

You’re funny.

Weird...

L.A. Mayor Karen Bass addressed looting at a recent press conference.

"You can't possibly be supporting immigrants and vandalize our city," Bass said. "Understand that if you do that... you will be arrested. And it might not happen that day, so don't think because you went home that night, that you are free. There's a lot of videotape, there's investigations that will take place and you will be held accountable - and frankly need to be separated from the people who are really fighting on behalf of our immigrant community."

I edited my post within a minute or so to more accurately convey what I meant which is what they are doing RIGHT NOW is hated by pretty much everyone it is extremely unpopular the way they are making this entire thing a spectacle for right wing outrage

That’s weird how enforcing existing law kinda works.  I guess we didn’t need to codify up to 5,000 encounters per day before strict measures were put in place for the country to get a handle on the problem.

Across the entire span of the U.S.-Mexico border, the change is stark — and it happened nearly overnight. Where Border Patrol agents encountered well over 100,000 migrants and asylum seekers every month just a year ago, they now see fewer than 10,000.

More than four months into President Trump's second term, one of his signature campaign promises — shutting down the flow of migrants across the border — seems fulfilled. Reporters with the USA TODAY Network traveled to 15 sites along the border from the Pacific to the Gulf, from California to Arizona and Texas, and found much of the same situation in each: few migrants were attempting to cross; once bustling shelters for migrants were ghost towns; local officials expressed relief for no longer having to assist with the flood of people.

Illegal immigration in the area ended almost immediately after the Border Patrol stopped releasing asylum seekers and the government began meting out “consequences” to illegal border crossers, including imprisonment and quick deportations, Castrejon said.
