Does anyone else think that Gilmore's emphasis on blocking over catching is hurting the production of our WRs
YES!
Possibly, maybe blocking it so physically tough on these guys that it beats them up, mentally and physically, too.
However, I don't recall our WRs in the 90's dropping too many balls. They were lightly recruited and blocked most of the time, but if they got hit in the hands, they caught them. And their QBs weren't exactly Joe Montana. Maybe because we had a good WR coach back then. Maybe we can find another coach like him somewhere??
