Conference Realignment Rumors

Big 12 is a great basketball conference and baseball conf as well.  Football is very competitive across the board.  

They have done a nice job expanding and keeping things competitive, esp with UT, OU, A&M out of the picture.  

But I think Connecticut is too far off the Conference map.  And yes, I took the time to spell it and not just say UCONN. 

I feel like this is just a talking topic to get other conferences thinking, and if UConn ever goes somewhere, they will join the ACC.

It would make more sense for UConn to either join the BigTen or ACC.  ACC pays $45M, BigTen pays $60M.  Of course joining the Big Ten, UConn would need a partner, and really the only school left that the BigTen wants is ND. Not sure UConn can make that happen. And with Clemson, FSU and Miami all hinting at leaving the ACC if they win their court case, not sure why UConn would want to go there if they leave. I could see those 4 schools joining the Big XII and the ACC will crumble like the PaC12 did.
