DE Joe Mathis [Washington Commit]

That's cool and all, but I would like to see if this is a trend of visiting and then naming the next school his leader. Just last week he had Michigan as a leader and was commited to Washington at one point, so we've got to wait this one out. We can really use this kid though.

He's a great fit for Pelini's D. Would have lots of success. Hope he visits for the Wisky game. Should be great weather and electric atmosphere. (Maybe not as electric as the spring game) Hopefully he gets a chance to see them in person against UCLA as well.

I realized I said the same thing of A.J. Pelini recruits to his system, I like it.

"But man... Nebraska is on top, man," Rivals100 defensive end Joe Mathis emphatically stated. "Like, I saw some things at Michigan that I really liked too, but I feel like I fit in more here and that this is me. They have more academic support here and I like that. I also know how good the defensive line coach is and everything."

Declined spring game visits from Alabama, Oklahoma, and Southern California to be in Lincoln. Has a really good relationship with Rich Fischer, helping Recruit California in replace of Carl.

"Its been real nice out here. Nebraska fans have been great. Its just crazy out here. Im definitely taking an official visit here. Definitely."

Obviously this is some kind of a misquote, because every "realist" on the board know this is not true

How does Natters commitment affect us getting Mathis? How many DEs we getting this year? 2?
Hopefully at least 3 maybe 4. DE is going to be mighty thin after this season. Anywhere Joe goes he wont be the only DE of the class so it shouldn't be an issue.
