I think krc's real opinion was that he would've preferred Nebraska had an older, more experienced starter so that DR could learn for a season and probably be better equipped to start in year two. As a whole, I think that's a fair opinion.

But yeah, tipping the cap to Texas was a weird and wrong comparison. And the whole thing just requires a ton of mental hurdles and hypotheticals anyways. It's not like Nebraska made a bad choice starting DR. I mean for God’s sake, they won a bowl game and 7 games for the first time in almost a decade.

You also have to remember that krc is a public dissenter of DR, too, so his take isn't that surprising.

If it was easy to find a Dillon Gabriel to come in, everyone would be doing it. And I don't see that many teams doing it while getting a 5 star freshman QB.

Not many teams get 5 star HS QB’s as there are very few of them each year.   But even if you include high 4star QB recruits for 2024, here are the teams that did do it.   Way more than didn’t do it.

Notre Dame:  #45 overall recruit CJ Carr, brought in Duke’s QB

Auburn: #41 overall recruit Walker White brought in Michigan State QB in 2023 and could have easily said see ya in 2024

Florida State: #35 overall recruit and three spots from 5star status.   Brought in D.J from OSU same year

Ohio State:  #20 overall recruit Julian Sayin.   Buckeyes also brought in Will Howard

Nebraska: #7 overall recruit……we know the rest

Florida: #3 overall recruit D.J. Lagway.   Florida brought in Graham Mertz the year before.   Flight in CSU QB in 2024.  Would have been easy to walk from him also.  Ended up getting hurt after a few games and DJ stepped in.

2023……..

The number 1,2,10,13 ranked recruits were QB’s and all went to programs with the intention of sitting.  Dante Moore #4, got the chance to start and ended up getting replaced.

So the moral of the story is it’s preferable to have an in-house starter with 1-2 years left or bring in a transfer with 1-2 years left and allow the 5star freshmen to acclimate and grow mentally (get some live game reps at times).   I think it sounds like Rhule tried to do this also with the Ohio State QB, but the QB wanted a more sure thing to start and went to Syracuse.  I think it worked out for us and Dylan as he didn’t looked overmatched too many times and got some great experience without getting crushed and developing happy feet too much.   That just isn’t the norm!

That's some excellent analysis, Archy.

What the fuck is it doing in The Shed?

I feel grateful that most of my social feeds have kept ignoramus' like Boebert off my timelines/feeds after the halftime show. I thought the performance and experience was fantastic, particularly because of all the messaging. I can understand not enjoying the type of music - personal preference - but I draw a line at intentional ignorance.

Also, I'm inspired by how much K Dot hates Drake. I wish I hated something so much that it motivated me to those levels of excellence.

what didn't you like about it?
It's not very pleasing to the eye for starters. It's a bunch of boxes with no border or background around them so the bright colors contrasted against the field and players is jarring, and it draws your eye away from the action. My eyes wanted to stare at the bright red KC background the whole time.

We all have big screen TVs now. Why do I have to look 2 feet to either side of the game clock to find down, distance, and the play clock? Not to mention the team "names" are absolutely massive while the clocks and other info you want to know are tiny. It was cool that they kept a player's stats on screen during plays, but again, it was super tiny in the corner, with no boarder or background so it washes out on the yard markers.

It's like they were trying to be the cool minimalist, but used bold in your face choices that didn't mesh.

since i left Xitter and joined blue sky that crap has greatly decreased.  i saw something in the nfl thread that made me search to see if that kind of stuff was out there.

Ahh yeah I still haven't checked out Blue Sky, but I also haven't been a big Twitter/X user for the last 7-8 years. I feel like if I was then I probably would've seen more of it. Mostly saw reactions on IG and Tik Tok.

now if we could get blue sky to embed here like xitter does instead of just linking

Post for us old white people to help understand the meaning of all of it.

The biggest protest in Super Bowl history happened on the Stage tonight and folk screaming it's boring or trash because it went over their head! This what you didn't see.

Then again the message is Blacks have always been here to entertain THEY (Who are not like us) so they aren't bored.

They rather have Wayne up there high, who has backed Drake (The system) to push the agenda.

The messages Kendrick just sent to America could not use Wayne.

It even started with the American Flag being built out of black people as America being built on the backs of black people.

Before I mention how being cool in our culture has always been stolen, no matter how many people try to steal it, they not like us.

WAS NOT ABOUT WHITE PEOPLE.. IT WAS ABOUT THE PEOPLE WHO CONTROL THE MEDIA AND LABELS WHO CREATE DIVIDE. OK HERE GOES!

It started with Dead Pres intro beat and flow "Bigger than Hiphop"

First song: WHEN I HEAR MUSIC, IT MAKES ME DANCE (SQUABBLE UP) NEW ORDER

Uncle (Sam)uel L Jackson started it off with the rules of the game of historical White America America.

Then Said when a bunch of blacks hanging out on the corner is too deep for the culture. Somebody gotta die. Deduct a life and create an environment to cancel each other out

The Squid games start which symbolizes the rich killing the poor for entertainment. Hmm. Imagine rappers beefing and killing and the media benefitting from their deaths.

The system allows Drake to push the Sexxxy Redd to taint the culture and empowers him

The dancers in Red White & Blue representing the American flag. Been Dancing to the drums of the system. And we want entertainment and to be able to dance than be educated.

The main Stage was a Playstation. Squid Game card

and the system is a game designed to keep us dancing and imprisoned which is why it was in a prison yard.

Protecting black women like Serena Williams after the disrespect from Drake

And once again reminding the system of Drake and America "They (Plants) are Not Like Us" and can't infiltrate the culture.

Game Over.. TV OFF. Been under their control. Revolution.

Drake Been used to further sour the system and be a plant for the same system Malcolm X warned about from the music execs who own media and use it to divide us.

This is bigger than rap! And women who feel disrespected should see it.

People who are tired of being divided should see it. Notice the American flag divided?

But most of all, those who didn't have a lens to see it just shows the system has worked and you're the type it's been working on.

Dude is the most creative genius in hiphop history.

But go off. Maybe we can see more well respected entrepreeurs and family men leading for once.

Here is the kicker: Look at your fb friends who say they wish it was more entertaining. Yeah, they were who it's been working on. The system rather keep you choosing entertainment over being educated

Watch the first 10 secs of his rap. Dead Pres reference Bigger Than Hiphop. True Art!

Rappers sent as plants to hurt us will no longer be tolerated. WE ARE WOKE. If you're mad at it please don't complain about being looked at a certain way.

Because you want to bounce to entertainers who promote killing each other and degrading our women. I guess America thinks it's OK too.

Watch the comments fill up with "Nothing will change" from people who are ok waiting for it to change vs doing their part.

The point he was making was... Come to this post in 24 hours and watch how many of us are fighting the message and messenger vs thinking of positive growth to move forward

You don't expect shucking and jiving and twerking from a Pulitzer Prize artist who was the first rapper ever to get it. You appreciate ART. And Art is boring but changes cul
