I definitely don't agree with picking on them.  No need to put people down like that.  However, the celebrating it and essentially saying it's ok to be a raging fat a$$ really gets me.
Precisely. Hot take rant incoming.

I'm never going to bully, shame or insult an obese person for being obese. I'm also not going to go up to them and tell them to be healthier. But, I'm not going to celebrate obesity or tell an obese person that they should be comfortable and happy with their body. I'd rather just not say anything.

But, the science and facts surrounding obesity are incontrovertible. The chances of you coming down with illnesses/diseases and dying younger are significantly higher. So when I see objectively overweight people being celebrated and told to be comfortable with who they are, to me, it's like telling a smoker or opioid addict to be comfortable with their decision to smoke or abuse opioids. It's not a good thing.

Although I find Joe Rogan to be an idiot quite often, I 100% agree with his takes on body positivity and exercise in general. The vast majority of obese and overweight people are capable of living healthier lives and completing even the simplest of exercises. We shouldn't be glorifying unhealthy lifestyle choices.

Agree...

Although I still think we should celebrate and applaud people that are super good at pounding beers!

I'll offer up @Dr. Strangelove

"I've been out for awhile but decided to stop in and see what our Resident crazy @Archy1221 has been posting. Figured I'd ask him how many Americans have died by the politicians he's voted for.

Seeing him peddle climate data from a right wing website that is taken out of context (the recovering coral has downsides and will likely not last) is very on brand. Keep voting for politicians to kill your voting base and the planet!"

This is what they offer for a quote of a douchebag, when you look for a definition in the dictionary.

All data and statistics are skewed to serve one political power or the other, both sides are vehemently guilty of this and it's sad.  Pretending otherwise is blatantly stupid.

Body positivity is just people trying to make themselves feel better about the damage they cause to themselves daily because they have no self control or mental health issues linked to comfort eating. It’s a coping mechanism to make themselves feel better about being obese. Nobody is truly happy in American society being overweight. It’s just a lie they tell themselves. It’s their own burden..but you shouldn’t be a d!(k to them because of it.

For most..being fat is a choice. But so is being a d******d

"See what happens when seven strangers, picked to live in _________, work together and have their lives taped to find out what happens when people stop being polite, and start being real."

.....yea, I might've been a fan.
"See what happens when we take a white girl that has never seen a black guy, and a black guy that hates white people, and a former skinhead that is still pretty racist, and a homophobe and a gay guy and a religious nut and a slut and a dude that smokes weed all day and a dude that wants to join the FBI, are all living together in the same house, because that is soooo real, stay tuned for The Real World"

By the way, I loved the first few seasons, the one in Europe ruined it for me.

You ain't wrong kiddo.

But, you got me all wrong. I'm a douchebag for many reasons, but offering up an accurate assessment of Archy (or any Republican supporter) is not one of them.
