This is what we all hope. Again, not complaining. Just would like for them to get some game time working on it.PS. Maybe by the time we play USC, some of the downfield shots will connect more easily.

Dude is very impressed with Satterfield's schemes.
It's amazing how much more creative your offense can be when you have an actual passing threat lol
Dylan didn’t get a lot of help with play calling, perimeter blocking, & route running. They also stopped throwing passes they weren’t to the flat/out of the backfield to eliminate any chance of a turnover. Probably after seeing the defensive dominance and that lucky TD play that should’ve been a pick they said..im good.I'm honestly stunned at how much Rhule is hyping him up, and it's not a bad thing. Just looking at the numbers it was a slightly underwhelming game with no mistakes, which is good enough.
But even the "bad" plays like the almost-INT-turned-TD, Rahmir quickly (and rightfully) took the blame for running a sloppy route that allowed the LB to undercut it. There were a couple busted plays where someone went the wrong way, and Rhule at least heavily implied it wasn't Raiola. Hopefully the rest of the guys can get on his level mentally, even 6th year leaders like Rahmir missed a pass pro assignment and that's what got Emmett into the game.
Well I'll say this as Colorado went to cover 2 a lot when Shiloh went out. Something they really don't do. It wasn't something the team prepared for and started using plays they didn't have in the game plan ie probably didn't practice all week. That being said its a great improvement over the last time someone did something different a'la Illinois.I'm honestly stunned at how much Rhule is hyping him up, and it's not a bad thing. I think it's fair to also say.....................................It's amazing how much more creative your offense can be when you have an actual passing threat lol

The big wheel-to-post route Lloyd almost had would have been a pretty insane highlight reel clip. So close on that one.
The big thing is, it seems plausible that Raiola's play-making ability continues to shoot up over these next couple tune up games.
I liked the second half play calling. It was conservative, but effective. The penalties are what killed everything. And as discussed at length, many of those penalties were questionable.I do think both UTEP & Colorado tried to blitz a fair bit though, and our blockers have done pretty well in their assignments. It helps when we line up in the big sets for pass protection also.
I have to admit, I love how Satterfield has set Raiola up for success in the first couple games. Satt isn't necessarily "wow-ing" anybody with what we've done but there's been a good balance of striking downfield with playing the higher percentage stuff. I think that's a really intelligent way to play it.
