After two Reetz is still available.
I think he will be a Husker.Just heard Jak Reetz got picked up by the Nationals in the 3rd round.
Both parents are UNL graduates, Nebraska boy & a smart kid. All points to #21.yep... 93rd... in the last 5 years only 20 top 100 picks have not signed...
That's what I was thinking... lolErstad must be pulling some strings with old MLB contacts to get such favorable draft results every year![]()
Catcher is a position that is hard the body. He can hit for average & has decent speed. If he develops more power, he could move to the OF. Also the kid was a closer in HS and can throw low 90s.I'm a Nationals fan, and I don't know why they drafted a Catcher in Reetz. We have two young catchers who are okay.
OWHNebraska baseball signee Jake Meyers struck out 20 batters in a seven-inning no-hitter to lead his legion team to an 11-0 win over Associated Fire Protection (Papillion-La Vista South) Tuesday night.
Rob Ramsey had four hits and five RBIs for KB Building Services (Omaha Westside). Will Patterson also added four hits in support of Meyers, who signed a letter of intent to play at NU in November.
Meyers, a 6-foot-1 left-hander, was the captain of The World-Herald's All-Nebraska baseball team after leading Omaha Westside to its second straight Class A title. He went 9-0 on the mound and recorded a 0.97 ERA this spring.
