I will say I've never understood my generation of players obsession with doing mat drills as coaches. To me it's always been reminiscent of John McCain advocating sending troops into pointless wars just because he did. With all the advances in S&C, there are simply better methods of training and more efficient uses of time. Advocates will argue toughness & team building, but I still think it's antiquated.
