Listening to his UCF introductory press conference today and it’s really something when asked about his past, he doesn’t refer to Nebraska by name, but only refers to it as the place he was at before.
His “chip on your shoulder “ demeanor suggests that Nebraska somehow wronged him?   There’s a big stack of Nebraska money in his pocket to be disrespectful.

I shouldn’t get mad about it and will let it go,  but man.. hearing him talk about building up UCF and how he plans to do it.. just maddening.

And it’s clear that he felt pressured to come here, rather than a genuine desire.

Revisionist history.  He was leaving UCF whether he went to NU or not.  What's clear is he felt the pressure of expectations at a national program.  Would have felt them at UF or elsewhere with a shorter leash to.  If he thinks there are no expectations at UCF he's in for a rude awakening.

It’s gonna be really funny when he does well there and we still suck.

We suck whether he does well there or not. So I wish him well.

I just had somebody tell me that Scott Frost "did irreparable damage to the Nebraska football program."  I can't wrap my mind around that.  I don't think he did damage to the program at all.   I think he did damage to the possibilities in each season here he coached, but damage to the program?   The only explanation I'm getting from the (former employee of an old AD here) guy is that "our image is now that of drunks."

He lost me there (also made me think of our dear often buzzed Coach Bob D).

Anyway, best to you, Scott.  Best to you.

I watched the video clip of Frost waking into the UCF press conference and he did not look happy to be there.

I imagine any media setting is going to be stressful given the hype and failure around his tenure here. I think he's thrilled to be back at UCF, just not happy to be walking into your first press conference since being fired by your alma mater. They went pretty easy on him though, which is understandable given what he did there. But all it would have taken to send it off the rails was one reporter deciding to push on certain things and Frost knew that - I wouldn't have been happy to be there either.

My mind is having a lot of trouble reconciling this.

What does it mean if he is successful at UCF again after falling flat on his face here?

Does that mean he didn't care or that our program is such a dumpster fire that it has become uncoachable?

I think Frost got his dream job and it f***ed with his head.
