It's a question I've often pondered myself. How anyone takes him seriously after he booger-sobbed his way through his criminal trial is beyond me. He was and always will be a childish moron. Why the fvck is anyone catering to this kid at all?
Oh, I definitely think he's in liberal's heads, but it's for the reasons you mentioned. He continues to be propagated for right wing causes, so it's hard for the left to not be aware and thinking about him regularly. The real issue is more about where the fault lies for why he continues to be relevant at all. I think he's a pretty low-hanging fruit rallying point, almost like a freak show the right knows will rile up people on the left but otherwise isn't of much value. It's not that Kyle is in liberal's heads. It's that the right wing continues to prop up the worst possible people for its hypocritical causes.
It's typical MAGA. They have someone who is a pathetic human be a major part of their political movement. When someone criticizes that person.....they are said to be obsessing over him.We were just talking about Rittenhouse, and how bizarre it is that he would have his own management team to handle public appearances and lend his uhm "brand" to right-leaning uhm "nonprofits". And that when he recently "broke" with Trump over.....not being angry enough bout the 2nd Amendment?....the Trump team had to publicly woo him back, and Rittenhouse had to apologize before reasserting his endorsement. Why the fvck is anyone catering to this kid at all?

If I were to venture a guess on why some right or father right leaning groups feel the need to have Kyle as “spokesman” “speaker at an event” etc….is most likely that they view him as a symbol of either why the second amendment should exist in their minds or as a symbol of what an unjust prosecution looks like. The latter is kinda like how the Left hails George Floyd as some type of hero deserving of statues and murals because he died in part from terrible police work. In reality though, the guy was a total piece of s#!t. yet he’s a hero for a cause to some groups. It's a question I've often pondered myself. Kyle doesn’t deserve to be praised and held out as a role model because his actions since the trial show he isn’t. Looks like some of his history before the shooting shows he shouldn’t be.
I agree with this perspective and think you're probably right. Politicians and radicalized political groups love to propagate people for all the wrong reasons. If I were to venture a guess on why some right or father right leaning groups feel the need to have Kyle as “spokesman” “speaker at an event” etc….is most likely that they view him as a symbol of either why the second amendment should exist in their minds or as a symbol of what an unjust prosecution looks like. Agree and that applies to my thoughts.I obviously have no facts to back this up, but I feel like a vast majority of Americans wish that kid wasn't being given any air time.
