LB Deion Jones*

Commit without stepping foot on campus.

Deion should be a 4* player once his film hits the recruiting sites if all is to believed to be true with this guy. From what I've heard, the kid is an absolute monster of a LB, but isn't widely known because of his lack of film at this point.
I see he was an All Stater and the his numbers are legit. And the stars are probably do to lack of film.

So in theory, after this kid tears it up again this fall, and LSU throws out the offer he is gone.
Now I remember it being mentioned that LSU's class is filling up fast, and it is. However, I also noticed that they have 4 LB commits, 3 of them projected OLB, so we MAY be safe. BUT I realize some of the schools in the SEC have a 'scholarship expansion program' allows them to take a few more kids than allotted...

After waiting several fruitless months for scholarship offers from LSU and Alabama that never arrived, Jesuit linebacker Deion Jones decided the time had arrived to make a college selection.

His star rating will definetely get bumped up...how many :star :star 's have you seen with an offer list like that. And he says that his dad wants him to get out and see other places, but that he is "more than positive" that he is solid on :bigredn:

This is a big pick up. Welcome Deion

Really smart move by this kid to commit sight unseen considering the small class we're expecting. I'm glad he's N, but I wouldn't consider this a lock at all especially if an SEC team were to offer.

He's a little light for a linebacker, but his speed makes up for it.

Welcome :bigredn: , Jones

He said in his rivals article his size was the issue with bama and LSU. Though it sounds like he could've gotten a LSU offer if he'd gone to their camp, couldn't due to a death in the family.

He'll be big enough, he's bigger than Santos was when we offered him, kid can fly to the rock.
