Matt O'Hanlon

Funny, I was just coming in here to make an "opposite" topic. Redemption can make failure seem opportunistic. Congrats Matt O'Hanlan.

edit: that's a bit cheesy right? I can't help myself, I just watched one of epoc's kick a$$ video's and now I feel like everything has to be epic.
How epic of you.

I'm happy for the guy. He gets sh#t on so much from us fans. Last night was his night and he deserved it.
Yeah, he had a good game, but I want to be clear here............................I'm still upset about the outcome of the VT game. :steam

BRi, actually still only 3. Had he actually caught the INT the 2 plays prior he'd not have gotten his other third. Unless I missed one earlier in the game, was busy eating my Omaha steaks.

It's not all his fault man. Football is a collection of plays, not just one. Yeah, he read the coverage wrong, West should've jammed the receiver at the line, he didn't, so O'hanlon was caught unaware.

But if our O wouldn't have sucked, if we would've sacked Tyrod, if our line wouldn't have shot themselves in the foot with the infamous 5 penalties in 6 plays drive, then that whole play wouldn't have even mattered.

Cut the guy some slack.

And regardless of what he did to mess something up, you should never call any player of the team a d bag. I mean, come on. That has unclassy written all over it.

Unclassy isn't the word I would use. I would use a much, much harsher word. O'Hanlon is a Nebraska boy who Bleeds Red. Calling him out was a bullsh#t thing to do.

And FYI - "bullsh#t" isn't the word I would use, either. I'm just not going to swear here.

Hell I was calling him a D bag then too. Played his balls off against ou though.

People sometimes act in the heat of the moment. Sure know I did.

Matt might have d'bagged in blacksburg, but he shoved crow in every mouth that said that to him after his third pick against OU... and then threw the ball in the air as if to say "PHUCK YOU NEIGHSAYER D-BAGS"!

:yeah Not to rag on the OP but calling out players is pretty sh**ty. These kids give it their all day in and day out and the last thing they need is fans turning on them.

Um, did you miss the post that I wrote above where I apologized to the kid? If you don't like the thread don't click on it. :dunno

Same thing goes for you, don't click on the thread then.

Matt O'Hanlon was the main reason we won that game...well other players played extremely well but having 3 INT's was huge on his part and his 13 tackles to contribute to the win. We all say some stuff that we regret saying about any Husker player somewhere in your life as a fan but most of the time we are upset about the loss and in the heat of the moment we have to blame it on somebody. I'm guilty of it and I'm sure other Husker fans are guilty of it and I'm sure there isn't a perfect Husker fan out there.

So with that said I wish O'Hanlon the best in the upcoming 3 games and lets go 3-0 in the next 3 remaining games and come out on top in the North.

:snacks:

Listen, I'm going to defend these players WHEN I goddamned like, WHERE I goddamned like.

You got a problem with that, you come talk to me about it.

Same here. I find myself making up words, I get so damn worked up when Nebraska plays. My wife and kids just look at me and laugh. I don't curse in front of my kids, so when I get ready to say the F Word, I have to stop and say another word that starts with F. You can just imagine how that sounds during game day.

Try again. I had contempt for all of you potzers posting in this thread back then, but didn't think I could keep it civil.

Let's put it this way.

Right here is a line. And on this side of it, we're not throwing O'Hanlon under the bus for this.

Pick your side.

I used to have respect for you. But man, you're burning that right up. Keep posing and acting tough. Keep pushing that chest out. All you did was crack on a really good Nebraska kid, and then barely have the cajones to retract it, and then ONLY after he ties a record for INTs in a game.

I don't have to be an "internet tough guy" to know bullsh#t when I see it. And I see it.

I get pretty worked up too and it's obvious from this thread. Hell I threw a pen at my TV two seasons ago when we were playing Texas at their house and Callahan was still our coach. We gave the game away in the 2nd half and I chipped the screen from throwing a cheap bic pen at it. My wife was pissed........

Well let me find a cookie for you since you seem to know everything. I could care less if you have respect for me or not. I'm not acting tough, you're the one telling me to come find you and talk with you about it like you want to fight me or something. I also retracted the statement about a month ago when I realized I was being to hard on the kid or maybe even a month and a half. Get your facts straight before you start trying to tell me what I posted and when I posted it.
