Matt O'Hanlon

Listen I don't want a beef with you, I've never had a problem with you, let's just agree to disagree on some things and move on. We over this?
Of course. You're a good man. I have no problem with you, either.

You're a worthy opponent behind the woodshed, sir. I hope we don't tangle again. :thumbs

OK. Here it goes. My take on Matt O'Hanlon.

Best player to come out of Bellevue to play for the Huskers. Which is saying alot because, well lets face it, Bellevue just doesnt produce football players.

That being said, Matt is mediocre, he has his good days and his bad days. Ive heard draft talk about him, and i just don't see it happening, he may enter the undrafted free agent list, but thats it. I will be very surprised if he gets picked up at all.

Im happy Matt had 3 INT's against OU, but hey, he should have had 5 if he was a great Safety.

IIRC, the 5 you're referring to is actually 4 ints....the one potential grab before his last int would have in effect prevented him from getting 5(kind of hard to get picks on 2 consecutive plays). Either way, I agree he may not be a great safety, but he played great on Saturday. The guys has been through alot and its great to see him playing well towards the end of his career at NU.

GBR

Thirty years from now they'll make a movie called "O'Hanlon" about this plucky young kid from Bellevue, NE who walks on to his favorite college team, works his way through the ranks and earns starting time. The hero will go through trials and tribulations, like a rough game at Virginia Tech, but the climax will be his triumphant game against arch-rival Oklahoma. Probably Hollywood will fudge it a bit and have the team carry O'Hanlon off on their shoulders at the end of the game. The denouement will be our final three regular season games, our come-from-behind victory over Texas in the Big XII Championship and our gutty BCS bowl win over Cincy, all told in montage form. As the credits role the story of our hero's later life is told - how he moved on from football and went into business, had a van-full of kids, and made his fortune when he invented a breakthrough prosthetic limb for kittens born with birth defects.

No, no, no. You'd have to get someone the audience could empathize with for O'Hanlon.

I'll play this guy:
