The officials in question told both Newsmax's Alex Salvi and Axios' Juliegrace Brufke that Trump was hit by glass shards that may have erupted from the shattering of a teleprompter that was hit by gunfire.

The last one is the most reliable source.

Glass shard or bullet doesn't change much. It was a nearly successful assassination attempt either way.

The shattered glass theory seems to be pure fantasy at this point.

I'm undecided on whether or not President Biden actually called for a bullseye to be put on Trump in the days leading up the assassination attempt.   That would be a direct call for violence on a political rival.  It just doesn't make sense he would do that.

The "bullseye" at this point is both sides saying the other candidate will destroy the America we love. 

The "direct call for violence" leans a little heavier towards the better-armed side of the aisle. Also, Mike Pence says hello.

I think someone else posted it too but I am always surprised things like this do not happen more often.  How many threats to Biden and Trump get a week?  

I remember reading that 3000 to 10000 threats per year for a President, that is crazy.

No. I thought you were making the bullseye claim: I'm undecided on whether or not President Biden actually called for a bullseye to be put on Trump in the days leading up the assassination.  

Some Republicans were trying to make that case, given the heated rhetoric.
