Mizzou / Nebraska Without The Vitriol

This thread is such BS. Last week the Huskers had their first real tune up for the conference opener against minnouri. This is a Husker board and quite frankly I wouldn't give two cents for a bushel of barn yard chicken excrement if both Kansas and Missouri dried up and blew away. Kansas Plays basketball and the biggest athletic name to come out of the state is Jim Ryan. Missouri is named after a river that carries our excrement down to the gulf and they pried themselves in their BBQ sauce that is out done by at least three resturants here and my own home made sauce that is far superior to anything I have ever tasted down there.

To bad Missouri fans keep referencing to the "following Thursday". Do they (the posters on this board. not all but the douche bags) realize the Husker will have nearly 2 weeks to prepare?

I'll say this, I do my best to keep religion and politics and anything else non football related out of my posts, sig tag and user name. Calling him out on his user name may be an appropriate thing to do. I do find it ironic that this is between an MU fan and a KU fan on huskerboard.

I'd be real proud of a learning institution that had the name Bugeaters.

Then stole it's current nickname from the inbreds in Iowa.

And on top of that, the 'state' of Nebraska west of Lincoln has about 100 people and a bunch of sand.

If the Railroads wouldn't run through here, nobody would be here at all.

about the line.....at best for you the line will be -1.....and frankly even if you are ranked ahead of us in the coaches poll i wouldnt be surprised to see us favored! we are ranked higher in the AP poll and that will be taked into account.

oh and even though im sure most of you MU fans have purposefully forgotten this but the fact is that gabbert tried to come back to NU right before signing day but Pelini told him no because he had bailed and we had already covered his spot. so frankly you werent even your qbs first choice.... <_<

Pardon me sir but i live in iowa. I have been to both missouri and nebraska. And as far as inbreds go my friend, mizzu takes the cake. Hands down.

Is that similar to your name and your school naming their teams after the 7th cav. who has been noted as the most disgusting american war criminals of all time? Is it similar to wearing red stockings only during MU games to celibrate men who robbed, raped and killed under a union flag and not only did those things but did it to pro union citizens because they lived in MO. Jayhawk, MO's population was 3/4 pro union. The slave population was less than 1/10 th of the state. Considering true southern states where above 1/2 that is extreamly small beans.

First of all "Eat a d**k" is a personal attack and is not approriate.

Second, Kansans have been called Jayhawkers since we were a state (at least the ones against slavery), and Most Jayhawks did nothing but fight in the Civil war and the time before it. I did not name myself after someone who's main accomplishment was a massacre, I did not call myself Redlegger, and don't get me started on justifying Quantrill. Just sayin. So Fro, sorry that war sucked, sorry your family suffered, and I will be sure not to glorify anyone who committed atrocities against your family. But there is a difference from identifying with a wide group of people, a few of which did bad things and specifically glorifying a war criminal AND saying he should have done worse (that name is a specific reference to a war crime and implies that he should have taken out the women and the little babies too). That is out of bounds. I am sad that you all do not see the difference. I defy you in my over 1000 posts to show me where I support atrocities.

its way off subject and I appoligized on a post afterword, that what i wrote was probably over the line. The thing to remember is that while i dont agree with some name choices of MU fans. I also dont agree with the stance that your school takes on some of these things. The simple fact that most of your students refer to MO fans or resisdents as "slavers" when the state had many time more residents fighting for the union army than the kansas did is stupid. beyond the personal attack of saying that, it implies things that are not only untrue, but are very offensive. I would suggust that instead of you useing your energy in fighting such things as an offensive name of a MU fan, that you use it to educate your own teams fans and your school on what they are doing wrong. And although you are right that a "jayhawk" can now refer to a kansan, that picked up after the war and after the univeristy adopted the name. not visa vera.

a Jay-hawk or jay·hawker by diffinition is

1) an abolitionist guerrilla of Missouri and Kansas in Civil War days

2) a robber, raider, or plunderer

anyway, now that we have covered MU/KU civil war facts, Lee vs Green, does Kicker = hall of famer, the normal our lines are better than yours although i can neither prove nor back up this statement, and any other petty the state of MO sucks more than the state of NE....

Can we get back to talk about a game that will happen in a few weeks. you know the one that starts the coference season for both teams. The one that both teams have a bye week infront of which gives them 2 weeks to prepare. you know THAT game...
