NBA 2024-25

It's another shock to the NBA.

However, no matter what you head, nobody knew this was coming out of Denver.

Nobody.

Except Adam Silver, the Lakers and Nico Harrison.   :) ;)
I didn't expect it would happen yesterday, but saw this coming from a mile away. The drama between Booth and Malone clearly affected the play of the team this year and honestly last year as well. Thought they may give Malone one last shot, but I was okay with moving on from him and just getting a new voice in there.

But if Malone is two years removed from winning the franchise's only NBA Championship -- and he didn't have a deep bench then -- why wouldn't ownership replace Booth with a more aggressive deal maker to give Malone the tools he needs?

It does feel a bit like the Mavericks/Lakers trade, where the only explanation is personal s#!t behind the scenes.

Wouldn't be surprised if the Nuggets get a little bump, cause players always make an effort to compensate when the microscope is on them. For all the wrestling in the West for playoff positioning, it still feels like OKC and Houston have earned their top spots and aren't likely to be challenged by the second tier. Same in the East: it's Cleveland and Boston, then everyone else.

Another factor is that Murray looks to be more hurt than anyone thought a week ago.  If he misses the post season, chances go from slim to none that they make any noise..even if they respond well to this move.

Sounds like you and a lot of people were expecting it for awhile too.  I think the timing of it all was off.  Hey, yall can have Jason Kidd.  He's def not an X and O's guy, but he does stay out of the way of the players and answers the media with a soft voice.  That MO has collected a lot of wins.  I remember wishing he got fired a few years ago.  But then I realized it's how nice you treat the players and winning comes down to the players for most teams.

A heartfelt and heartwarming tribute tonight for a return to Dallas for our boy Luka.

Most of us lost our hearts when he got sent away and traded around midnight on a Friday night to Los Angeles.

And when I say us, I'm talking about us - Dallas, Texas, black, white, Tejano, Mexicans, Asians, Europeans, Latin Americans etc, etc, etc.

We are still confused, it still hurts.  But the cheers for Luka remain for life.

And as he dropped 45 points on the Mavs - we all cheered and loved every second of it.

Check out the 3 minute tribute for our son Luka.  I mean, what did he do to the Organization to get traded... ?

You only need to listen to the Dallas Texas faithful when Luka has the ball for LA.  3 minute clip.  Watch the hugs at the end.

Houston is complete fool's gold, IMO.  They are going to have a ton of trouble scoring in the half court.  They'll be on upset watch with (presumably) your Warriors for sure.

I changed my mind. A healthy Los Angeles Clippers can challenge anyone. They are deep and can score every possible way.

NBA championship will be the Lakers vs Celtics.  It's in the cards (or hands of Adam Silver).

But, I do really like the Lakers getting there (Finals) and seeing what happens.

I have temporarily switched unions because I am still extremely angry and pissed off at Dallas (at Nico and new ownership).  It's really like that for a lot of us.  And we don't feel bad about saying that and switching gears to LA.  Not as a diehard Laker fans... but we just want to be invited to the cookout with Luka.  And they (Nico and Dallas Ownership) has even upset Dirk, which is a super no-no thing to do.

Wouldn't it be funny if both the Mavericks and Lakers lost a first round series and ended up sitting on the same sidelines?

This isn't a Luka thing for me. It's an enjoying-the-Lakers-losing thing.

I thought I was the only one who saw the Houston Rockets as a better match up for the Warriors than the Lakers, making that final loss to the Clippers a blessing in disguise. But Vegas has the #7 seed a -188 favorite against the #2 seed.

I think everyone wanted to play the rockets. Nuggets fans were saying the same thing, but didn’t want to risk the play in.  If the warriors can keep it close on the road, rockets don’t have a good clutch, half court offense to close games. Warriors have 2 tough bucket getters

While I personally prefer the Warriors facing the Rockets rather than the Lakers, I can't imagine anyone being surprised if the Rockets win. They are athletic and deep and go all-in on defense. Both teams were healthy with playoffs on the line when they played just two weeks ago, and Houston looked like the better team. There's a reason they're the #2 seed.

So hey, Denver fans, how do you feel about having Russell Westbrook in during crunch time? The guy can single-handedly win you a game or lose you a game and that Clippers fourth quarter showcased his uncanny ability to do both.

Rockets should be favored, but they’re the most vulnerable top 2 seed since 2023 Memphis.

Russ is Russ. Nuggets are going to need MPJ late in games because clippers cheated off Russ to take away the Murray jokic 2 man game.  Russ is a good defensive option against harden and he hit a couple big shots.
