Well it's about five points less a game than the legends you keep citing, but on teams with two other All NBA players who average 20+ themselves.  

Bob McAdoo, Geroge Gervin, and Alex English put up crazy numbers, but they're not in the conversation either. 

You keep acting like I'm making this up. Kevin Durant's unprecedented skillset isn't a maverick theory by Warriors fans, who are actually inclined to root against him right now. I am. But the real test is when Durant is forced to play without his supporting superstars, and a very physical and defensive minded Bucks team is free to double team him, and Durant plays all 48 minutes, puts up 49 points, 17 rebounds and 11 assists, and pretty much wills his team to a win.

It's also why the Bucks coach might get fired if they lose to the Nets today.

Also, find me some video of GS players getting knocked on the ground all game.  Curry is not bigger than anyone, neither is Klay and KD is a pencil.  I agree that players today are bigger, faster and stronger, just none of those players played for GS.  I mean, Curry and Klay are not exactly physically intimidating or athletic freaks.

Draymond Green would have been welcome on the 1989 Detroit Pistons. Andrew Bogut, David West, and Zaza Pachulia, too. They played dirty and knew all the old tricks for disguising it. You seem to be the only person who doesn't know that Klay Thompson is considered one of the best two-way players in the NBA, able to guard almost any position. Steph Curry isn't famous for his defense, but he's not bad, and let's face it, he simply has to outscore the other guy.  Durant basically got to play small forward, and given his quickness and length, he could either stop or outscore most guys sent to guard him.

And the match-ups matter a lot less in the Warriors era, where they play position-less basketball -- everyone switches and doubles as needed. 

If you want to see Steph Curry getting knocked on the ground all game, just watch a Warriors game. Watch Curry when he doesn't have the ball: he gets brutalized. It's the given strategy, especially since refs don't call a lot of off-ball fouls. But Steph gets back up, gets double and triple teamed, and scores 30 points anyway. He actually is an athletic freak. 

The Bulls were great, too. 

So was "Miami Vice" and acid-washed jeans.

Yeah, I remember KD...when he was Dirk, who did all the same s#!t way before KD and won a title on his own.

Steph curry is bad on defense and come on, if it is him vs MJ, is there any chance he is out scoring MJ, in the finals?  The answer is no.

This weird idea that Klay is some amazing defensive player, where is this coming from?  In what world is Klay switching on a screen to guard a power forward?

Curry averages 24, not 30.  And athletic freak?  I mean, okay.  

I had to look it up and I hate doing that but Klay has made one all-defensive team, second team.  From what I could find.

His props today for the game are these...tell me what you would take, the overs or unders.

Points 35.5

Rebounds 11.5

Assists 5.5

3's made 2.5

Yep. And Dirk's fade away jumper was also considered un-defendable. And KD has two titles. And Dirk's one championship team was pretty loaded with supporting talent. And his most talented Maverick team lost to the 8th seed Warriors. 

Given the choice of Dirk or KD on their Dream Team, Durant would have the edge among most baller folk.

Lol. Imagine thinking Curry wouldn't be capable of outscoring Jordan on any given night. The Warriors teams had three guys that could do it on a given night. That's not suggesting that either of them were better than Jordan individually, but collectively, they'd overwhelm those Bulls teams. The Bulls couldn't put enough capable defenders on the court to stop them. Meanwhile, the Warriors were capable enough defensively to shut everyone down on the Bulls, except for Jordan. Who cares. Let Jordan get 40, and grab the W.

I gotta say, Teach. This conversation leaves me questioning how much current basketball you've watched. These guys are good. Collectively, the league has never been more talented.

Overwhelm?  How come they could not overwhelm the cavs when they were up 3-1?

How come they fell apart so quickly?

MJ has played in about 65 more playoff games than Curry...

Curry has 2,968 playoff points in 112 games (26.5)

MJ has 5.987 playoff points in 179 games (34)

That is a crazy huge difference.  Thinking that steph, while guarded by MJ (on the all D team 9 times, the real award, not the NYT's one) is going to outscore MJ on any given night is as crazy as thinking that Kung Flu is not funny (I know you think it is funny, but I just like getting that dig in there, sorry!)

 
I am watching right now, the greatest player in the world, KD, just got stripped, then there was a T called on the other end, that play, in the 90's would not have even been a foul, let alone a T.

KD wasn't on that Warriors team that gave up the the 3-1 lead. That's kind of important to know in this discussion.

Right, I know, but the other "stars" were, right?  I mean, that cavs team might be the worst team to ever win a title.  I think that is fair to say, right?  I mean, if Curry is going to school MJ, clearly he would also school all the guards on Cleveland.  

And the playoff points of curry vs MJ?  Hmmm Hmmmm?
