Detroit Lions star defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is donating equipment to a high school football team whose pads, helmets and other items were stolen.
The Ndamukong Suh Family Foundation says that players for Frederick Douglass College Preparatory Academy for Young Men in Detroit will receive new cleats and gloves in time for Friday afternoon's homecoming game.

Ndamukong Suh is expected to attend the game.

Coaches discovered the team's equipment missing Monday from the school's field house. The team is 4-1 on the season.

It's the second major theft at the field house. Three years ago, electrical wiring, copper plumbing and toilets were stolen during a break-in.

ESPN, Sports Illustrated, and others don't care about the good that Suh does, they only care when he lays a controversial hit on someone so they can call him a dirty player.

It sad. But its good to see that some people care about the good things he does.

Not true. Most ESPN commentators said SUH's big hits on QB's were within the rules. Its the NFL that can't get it right.

I think it's really awesome what Suh does to help out. I know he makes a lot of money but its the little things that show he is truly someone young players can look up to.

Very awesome indeed. Glad that he stepped up and helped the young kids, especially right before a huge time for them.

Agreed. Not really sure who started the dirty player stuff but most of the former players on the shows have said he plays the game the way it's meant to be played, but the NFL hasn't seen someone like him in awhile and it's kind of a shock to their system.

But they have also said he needs to be careful because he could face some action from the league in the future
