Detroit Lions star defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is donating equipment to a high school football team whose
pads, helmets and other items were stolen.
The Ndamukong Suh Family Foundation says that players for Frederick Douglass College Preparatory Academy for Young Men in Detroit will receive new cleats and gloves in time for Friday afternoon's homecoming game.
Ndamukong Suh is expected to attend the game.
Coaches discovered the team's equipment missing Monday from the school's field house. The team is 4-1 on the season.
It's the second major theft at the field house. Three years ago, electrical wiring, copper plumbing and toilets were stolen during a break-in.
