Nebraska captains refuse to shake Iowa captains’ hands?

This forum…..

We suck.  Let’s act like d******ds.  Everyone else does.
They did nothing wrong...they took a stand against a team that has been very unsportsmanlike towards them for years...you dont have to agree with it. You don't even have to agree that what they got upset about is important. If you don't like it, get over it.

You all want change, you all want this guy fired, that guy benched and so on and so forth...maybe a not taking anyone's s&!t anymore mindset is a culture we need.  What we have done for decades isn't good enough for people like you...but we complain about change.

I've seen national championships, I'm old enough to remember...I'll never forget those days.  They're gone now...move on, evolve...we complain that we don't have Dawgs on this team or don't play with a swagger...yet get offended when we bow up and draw a line in the sand.

I'm not the keyboard warrior here getting my panties in a twist and trying to call out NFL nose tackles about a handshake with our rival.
Well the NFL nose tackle did kinda delete his own stupid post.  But I’m glad the 9 yr NFL nose tackle has a pass the damn ball guy worried as all get out guy looking out for him.   Not sure what all the nfl nose tackles would do without you talking about panties on a message board 🤔

And no, I’m not gonna shake your hand after this discussion.  Harumpffffffff

I'm not sure what the team would do without you making sure they get scolded for not shaking hands and their coach for a mean tweet.

Well Michigan and OSU went at it.  Cops pepper sprayed the crowd.  UNC and NC State got into it....I don't agree with not shaking hands.  You want to get back at them? Quit losing.  Having beat them once the past decade and not shaking their hands is a punk move IMHO.  Beat that a$$ on the field.

Furthermore, for those who are on the righteous bandwagon are probably believing that Coach Rhule walked through the Iowa pregame and interrupted things. LMAO. Watch the video. What a fabricated lie by an Iowa captain. Rhule walked his traditional pregame lap around the sideline. He literally walked in front of an Iowa player, who was adjusting his gloves… not even in a drill…but Rhule is classless and his team is out of control. Lol

Apparently my invite to the butt-hurt party got lost in the mail. Next thing you know, they'll be on us for not waving to the cancer kids long enough during the 1st quarter break. You know what i heard? During warm ups Rhule snuck behind an Iowa guy and tied his shoe laces together. My uncle once told me Frank Solich took Kirk Farentz's mother to a nice seafood dinner and didn't call her back. One time in 1987 my dad threw an RC Cola can out the window of our wood panel Buick station wagon somewhere east of Cedar Rapids. In 1996 I heard a guy from Missouri say Iowa was an acronym for Idiots Out Wandering Around, and I didn't correct his besmirching of their good name.

We have all wronged Iowa in innumerable ways. Let us prostrate (not prostate!) ourselves before them and beg forgiveness. And next time, instead of pregame shakes we can sit and hold hands in a circle whilst singing Kum-Ba-Ya.

Or, you know, next time just win the frigging game

Yep - I head she was a real demon in the sack. Frank could bed a cougar with one testicle tied behind his back.

But you’re trying to make it sound worse than it is in order to make your argument sound better. It’s not that big of a deal. It’s not like they whipped their dangles out, peed on the logo, mooned the crowd, then held the mascot down and took a dump on him.
Billy Napier enters the chat.  Props to Coach Napier.

I’m just catching up with this, but I’m seeing the players were upset they couldn’t pray publicly for the world to see so they refused to shake hands?

Really?

What kind of fake Christian posers are on this team.  Learn some graciousness, dang…
for the "world" to see...??  fake Christian "posers"..??     This was 2+ hours before the game and a normal team walk through... 🙄

It’s stupid. Multiple teams across multiple years have been annoyed that Nebraska comes to the middle of their field and does this. This tells me Nebraska is the only team that does it. So maybe get the hint already and do it somewhere else, like the 25 yard line.
Pretty sure if that's the case, Iowa's admin could have contacted Nebraska's and asked them not to...  pretty simple...!!  but placing 13 armed state troopers out there to "protect" it was just to illicit a response...  our "classy" act in return was to refuse to shake hands at midfield...  not resorting to violence...

Why does a prayer have to be on the 50?  Do they get better reception there?  If it’s not in the way fine, but it seems like teams have asked them to keep the logos clear.  Wouldn’t the “Christian” thing to do is to honor a simple request from the host?

I couldn’t care less about not shaking hands, but I’m gonna give it a huge eye roll if they skipped it because Iowa wouldn’t let them be Christian in the right location…

And it might not even be about the prayer thing, I hope it’s not!  I’m just going off of posts here and things on social media.   I actually hope it because they are actually trying to form some type of edge.  Definitely can’t hurt!
