I would agree that generally we have conditioning and strength issues. However, I'm not convinced conditioning concerns apply to Ameer. Sure there will be times in a game where he'll need a breather depending on his workload and the time in the game. But let's not pretend that is impacting our ability to sustain a running game. Cross and Newby are more than acceptable to hold up the RB responsibilites. Our running game is more dependent on two other factors; the OL and Beck's play calling. Our OL , while significantly improved, currently has injury and depth issues but the biggest factor still appears to be haphazard and, at times, stupid play calling. We don't establish and maintain a running game because too often Beck panics and won't give it a chance to get established.
