**Official Ohio State game discussion thread**

Second Quarter Impressions:

  • Notice to Tim Beck: When you have a QB who sometimes struggles with his accuracy you don't call passing plays deep in your own red zone. Thanks for giving Ohio State 14 free points.
  • 1st Quarter the power running game was efficient and had the defense on their heels. 2nd Quarter...we abandoned the power running game for the zone-read.
  • It's Official!!! Bo Pelini is a very good defensive coordinator. However, his defense still has no answer for a mobile QB.


Thoughts Heading Into 2nd Half:

  • The only way Nebraska is going to come back and win this game is if they pound the ball and keep Braxton Miller off the field.
  • Defense MUST put a QB Spy on Braxton Miller.
  • Whether we in or lose this game, a chance for a Big Ten title is still out there for the taking. Focus on the Wins/Loss column for the Legends Division.

When we get a coaching staff worth a sh#t. Nothing has changed as a mobile QB will always dominate a Bo led defense.

Comes down to athletes.... and we don't have them on defense, or the offensive line....

Which is still a coaching problem....Bo didn't start taking recruiting seriously until last year, now we see the result of that indifference towards recruiting.

I agree that Bo didn't recruit well for a couple years, but to act like he don't know what he is doing is ridiculous (see 2009)....

See SUH, HAAG, Gomes etc.... That decked was stacked.

 
Why have we not tried to throw downfield at all. They have been talking about their suspect secondary all year. I have been less than impressed with the play calling.

Let's stop pretending having troubles with mobile QBs is exclusive to "Bo led defenses". Braxton Miller plays like this against everyone. Did you watch Michigan State last week?

MSU gave up 17 points in the game.....we have given up 35 in a HALF......that is more than troubles, that is getting your a$$ handed to you. tOSU has nothing around Miller and we still can't stop him. That is Cozgrove like coaching. Maybe CozBo should be used every time we face a mobile QB since Bo's defenses look every bit as bad as his did against everybody.

Good points. Obviously what we are doing isn't working. try spying for a series or 3 and see what happens. Miller won't beat us with his arm.
