OT Elijah Pritchett -> Nebraska

Well, we had 28 sacks this year.  So, a hair over 2 per game.  No clue how you look up to see how many each lineman allowed.  I remember some that weren't any lineman's fault. They were because an RB didn't pick up a blitz.

But, those stats for him don't scream confidence that he's better.

According to PFF (this year):

Justin Evans - 496 pass block snaps, 10 pressures, 8 hurries, 0 hits, 2 sacks

Ben Scott - 496, 13, 11, 1, 1

Bryce Benhart - 496, 31, 25, 2, 4

Henry Lutovsky - 429, 10, 6, 0, 0

Gunnar Gottula - 276, 16, 12, 2, 2

Micah Mazzccua - 182, 4, 3, 0, 1

Turner Corcoran - 110, 4, 2, 2, 0

I just looked up his 247 profile and maybe a little encouraging was the scouting on him said he probably needed 2 years to adjust to the college game. So maybe we get lucky and he is ready to show his 5 star potential next year.

Or we have our new Benhart

So he allowed roughly 3 pressures per game. 6 sacks. But he had Milroe to get out of pressure and not take sacks. How many pressures did our tackles allow last year in comparison.

seems like the kid has some trouble down there with driving issues, charged spreading stds knowingly.

hopefully we do homework
Was also considered a locker room cancer.

So basically he was the Benhart of Alabama
Now I understand giving up 6 sacks is bad but the competition that he played against was way better then Nebraska played all season.  So do Nebraska fans don't want him bc of the off the field issues or bc he gave up the sacks?? I think if he does come here Im hoping he doesn't turn into Gilbert.  If he can come here and focus on getting better physically and mentally we should be good.

I wouldn’t say way better. The post season schedule rankings I have seen have Alabama at 9th toughest and Nebraska at 30th toughest. Also if you are inferring that the SEC is way tougher than the B1G, you might want to look at the post season results and rethink that.

He apparently got better as the season progressed. And he supposedly is a good run blocker. I guess N sees him for his potential. I just hope it works out and not a bust.

They are aggressively pursuing USC’s best OL. He has just entered the portal and is one of the best linemen left. I can’t think of his name.
