OT Elijah Pritchett -> Nebraska

I’m reading that Ole Miss and Colorado are leading and going after him hard. Where do you see us even in the mix?

maybe we need a Portal thread just on Emmanuel Pregnon
Is he scheduled for a visit? That’s the key, although Ole Miss has lots of NIL money. Perhaps they can out bid Colorado?

Admittedly, I did not watch too many Alabama games this year. However, Milroe was much more of a mobile QB averaging double digit rushing attempts in all but two games. I suspect that he was more prone to scramble than our QBs are at this point in the offense.

Dylan was noticeably better with quick releases after Dana signed on and our line play appeared to be improved along with it. A QB with instincts to stay within the pocket versus scrambling might better serve a lineman such as Pritchett. With the uncertainty of Teddy and Turner, Elijah would be a very nice addition with experience at a high level. We've had multiple linemen down for season ending injuries it seems like every year, so it's very likely a two or three deep would be tested at different points within the season. Elijah would be a big bonus

OL seems to be the most difficult position to recruit in the transfer portal. They done overall very well except this gap they hopefully can fill.
I would also add finding a nose tackle in the portal is hard for us as well.  They have done well adding edge rushers but we could definitely add a hog to clog up the middle.

Position of need! Just hope he is not Hood Jr

As far as I can tell, Hood played 0 snaps at Georgia. Pritchett has started an entire season. The off the field stuff is concerning, although we really know almost nothing and just have to hope the coaches judgement is correct. That's my biggest concern, the on the field stuff is fine.

For context on Pritchett's struggles though, 5 star Kadyn Proctor allowed 12 sacks and 36 pressures his first year starting at Bama. In 2024, he improved to 2 sacks allowed and 11 pressures. Now Proctor was a true freshman starter and Pritchett was a sophomore, but the point is young lineman improve with reps. Connor Colby from Iowa was forced into starting at Iowa as a freshman and was terrible. Still wasn't very good his sophomore year. But was solid last year, and 1st team all-Big Ten this year.

Hope your right!  I'm not totally against him as he has lots of potential; just have concerns!
