The game between OU and NU will be shown on KETV-7 (Omaha) Saturday Aug. 19th at 11:30 a.m.

Watch for the hit on kelly phelps after we take the lead in the 4th... KA_POW! :wacko:

Channel 6 ran that clip for years on their newscasts.

Only Rucker's blasting of that K-State player to spring Fullman on that punt return in '95 was as hard/good a hit I can remember. Frost laying out that aTm player to spring Newcombe was good, too.

Keith Jackson called that game. Our D played over their heads. Too bad they were out of gas against James Wilder and Kellen Winslow the next week vs. Mizzou. :angry:

 
I hate being so young because you only get to hear about classics like this. I'm more than happy when a great "old" game like this comes on. It's awesome to watch!

 
Have never seen the game, but am taping it this weekend since I will be in Lincoln. Exciting to see. Is this the game were the Ruud dad knocks the bujesus out of the OU player? Is that the hit on Kelly Phelps?

The very one! See my post above. I was trying to remember if it was Ruud or Derrie Nelson.

Great game! 30 degrees in Lincoln, raining sometimes, and Keith Jackson calling it.
