I’ve also heard he’s going again for the Spring GameMathis visited Texas this weekend. I'd forgotten that Gary Patterson is now an analyst for them.

Frost hates it too.Show him the money!
Saw an article this weekend about Saban saying that the new NIL will simply allow teams to "buy" players. Appeared to be against it for what's it's worth. Guessing it levels the playing field amongst the "haves"....
The bigger programs have ALWAYS had an advantage. They just did the same thing under the table.Needs to be a max. The bigger programs have the advantage.

I'm pretty sure both Alabama (Saban) and Nebraska (Frost) are taking this seriously to try to benefit in recruiting from it. I have no problem with a coach though expressing their opinions about it though.I've been in favor of players being able to profit from their NIL although this iteration of it is pretty crazy. Coaches can hate it all they want, same with the transfer portal - but if coaches don't embrace the new landscape of CFB and use it to make their teams better (despite their personal opinions) they'll be doing their programs and themselves a disservice. I'm not sure what rules need to be put in place to make it better, if any, but as Decked has said, most of the successful programs have been paying players anyways - this has just legalized it for everyone.

Hopefully after a few years the dust settles and it's actually used how it was intended. Right now it's just the wild west.Oh I agree. I think Frost has embraced both NIL and the portal with open arms even though he might dislike it personally. That's what I mean - if a coach resists against them, he's going to get left in the dust.
Hard for Alabama to like it when they were basically able to pick and choose whoever they wanted anyway, so this helps other teams a lot more than it helps them. But coaches know that this is just going to create a whole new set of issues for them to deal with down the road, I don't blame them for not liking it.I'm pretty sure both Alabama (Saban) and Nebraska (Frost) are taking this seriously to try to benefit in recruiting from it. True, but with more TV it helped the smaller programs. Now it's swinging in the other direction. The bigger programs have ALWAYS had an advantage. They just did the same thing under the table.
Rules are gonna come with time. This is just brand new.True, but with more TV it helped the smaller programs. Now it's swinging in the other direction.
