Everyone didn't say this guy is never wrong. One Biden supporter posted a video he found "interesting." 

Maybe you and him could both be wrong at the same time. 

You don't have to be a slave to the polls -- they're not set in stone -- but it would also be foolish to ignore them. 

There is, of course, the immediate question of whether Biden could rally and beat Trump in the next four months. But at some point Democrats have to consider whether it is irresponsible to have him be the party standard-bearer over the next four years should his recent decline continue. 

 


And this takes us back to the "fine people on both sides" example. Trump most definitely has advisors pushing him to make conciliatory statements scripted for him. Then he hears from his angry MAGA base about cowing to political correctness. Then Trump finds an extemporaneous rally to assure them he is every bit the immigrant hating/white nationalist/culture warrior/dictator-in-waiting they want him to be.
