QB Dayton Raiola [Nebraska Commit]

Looks like he is finally rated by all services. I am a little surprised he is only a .84-.85 guy. He has elite arm talent like Dylan. Only 1 season starting. No other schools really have any interest other than 2 small ones.

Is this a deal where he is solid to Nebraska so other schools and recruiters are not going to spend time looking at him? Or is he just ok player

Well ... he is the #669 player overall according to the 247 Composite.  So that's nice.

Dayton's junior tape just got posted and it made me much more optimistic about him. To be honest, I thought it was a reach to offer him for any other reason than to keep the family happy. However, watching him, you see a very big QB with a very strong arm and really good timing for a high schooler.

Sure, he's a bit of a stiff athlete and doesn't trust his mechanics leading to quite a few ducks flying through the air. That being said, when he puts it together and throws to a receiver that he trusts (especially #4), then you get quite a few rifles that put the receiver in really good positions to do some damage after the catch.

He had a great season as a junior and you can see the improvement in the film. It'll be interesting to see how he improves

Was his first year starting correct?

Yeah, and you can see him start to catch up with the speed of the game better as the season went on. He has that same thing that Dylan had coming out of high school where they take some of the mustard off of their intermediate/short passes to make it more catchable for high schoolers. But he's not quite as fluid as his older brother so that leads to him trying to place the ball rather than just throw it, so his weight transfer looks off.
